So what's the deal with that? DD9 loves tea parties and we want to go, but can anyone tell me what it's all about? What does it include, and did you enjoy it?
Have you looked at the menu? Are you talking about the really expensive girlie tea party where you drop your daughter off or are you wanting to share tea with her? If you are talking about the regular afternoon tea, we love it! We usually order the Buckingham or the Grand Tea. My kids adore the mousse filled swan pastries. DH and I consider the sherry trifle to be one of our all time favorite WDW desserts! We love the Princess Breakfast Tea (and usually take a box home with us) which is a rooibos with vanilla and strawberry. Others that we try to keep a home stock of are Eros (vanilla orange) and Mad Hatter. The experience makes for a lovely lunch. (I love the little roasted pear sandwiches)
Totally, totally agree with Belle5. Go to allearsnet.com and check out the menu. It's great, and elegant, and more filling than it sounds. In August, DD and I had a 9am breakfast at Boma and then tea at 4:45 at the GF and we were full for the day (except for a piece of tie-died cheesecake when we got back to POP that night after Wishes!).
The Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian is an experience!
I agree with the other PPs that the Garden View Tea Lounge is wonderful. I took both of my DDs and my MIL back in March for the first time and had a wonderful experience. The tea and the little finger sandwiches are very good, and the desserts are awesome. When we go back in May, we will be there for Mother's day so I decided that I will be going back to GF and having tea with my 2 DDs without DH (he wasn't invited ). It will be a very good Mother's day
I usually just lurk, but have to chime and say I completely agree with the PPs. DD11 and I did the tea in April and it was the highlight of her trip! One of us ordered the Buckingham, the other got the cheese plate and we shared everything. So good and so much fun, and our server was one of the best we've had at any Disney restaurant! We're hoping return next year.
That was the hardest ADR for us to get though. We got LeCellier and CG no problem, but had to call for days to finally get one for the tea.
