Garden View Lounge Tea question...

Has anyone attended a tea at the Garden View Lounge? Do you know if you can see the MK from the windows? I know it overlooks the pool area, but unsure of what is in the distance.

We are going to try and drag...ah, convince our hubbies to go to tea there and wondered about the best time for PS. Since they serve until 6:00 pm and Wishes is at 7:00, thought it might be nice if you could see the fireworks.

Also, any suggestions as to which tea menu to order? Any gentlemen have comments?

As for what to order, I haven't done my review from July yet (rolls eyes at myself), but I had the Grand Tea, and FH had the Buckingham Palace. He doesn't like tea, but loved the raspberry tea, iced (it's Harney and Sons' tea, my favorite).

I see you're going in February, you should be hitting the very beginning of the strawberry season down here. FH *adored* the strawberries and cream as his dessert.

However, if we could go back, we would have ordered a la carte. The tea sandwiches were in no way worth what we paid for them We could have just had tea, pastries/strawberries, and the cheese plate, and been happy.

We went for the first time last month, it was divine. Originally our guys didn't want to go but changed their minds and loved every bite.

We had the Buckingham and my FIL had the Sally Lund. It was a bummer cause I wanted to have an extra order of Sally Lund bread and they ran out so I couldn't, I only got one taste and it was heaven. Apparently they only bake so much of it per day and there were two birthday parties that seated right at 2 when we did, got waited on first, and they took all the Lund bread but the one order that my FIL got.

We were stuffed when we left, and my daughter was so well behaved it was precious, she even drank with her pinkie in the air LOL. Pretty good for an 8 year old

I would recommend first seating of the day, 2pm. Everything is fresh and best variety to choose from. Have a marvelous time!
