Ok, strange question here, so please forgive in advance!

I would love to try the Afternoon Tea sometime. It looks like it would be a wonderful, sedate, relaxing break from the insanity. However, I'm not really a tea drinker. I LOVE my coffee.

My question is, how strange would it be to ask for coffee instead of tea? Would I get one of those "looks" from the wait staff? You know what I mean...

Anyone have any experience in that? I know, such a silly question. But I'm watching some servers processing and can't do any real work, so the mind is going a mile a minute. Must be all that coffee ;)

Neither of my sisters drink tea, they have both ordered coffee at The Garden View Room while the rest of us enjoyed the tea. They have the press pot coffee and my sisters loved it.

Go Enjoy

They do not expect everyone to come in and order tea, just like everyone at Starbucks does not get a dirty look if they don't order coffee.

Just went last Sat. with DGD13. Some of the ladies at the table next to us had pressed pot coffee. They offered to get DGD a soft drink or lemonade, but she was happy sharing our pot of Mad Hatter - with lots of sugar! ;)

Thanks all! It sounds lovely. I can't wait to try the "Tea" with a nice pot of pressed coffee.:goodvibes

Yep, I also ordered my tea "iced" too and it was okay. Didn't get any weird looks or anything!
