Can someone tell me how the Flower & Garden Festival concerts work at Epcot? Do you have to wait in line early to get a seat? Or is there some way to get tickets for the concerts? How early do you need to get in line for, say, the Little River Band? Thanks in advance for your help!

There are some fun groups playing.

Because the concerts are in an open air theater you don't actually have to be in the theater to hear the band. Often I'm just walking by and someone is playing I think sounds fun but if there are no seats left in the theater I'll just perch on the wall or stand in the back.

Keep in mind that each group is there for three days and plays three concerts a day, so there are nine chances to see any particular act. That tends to make the concerts less crowded. We've been to WDW several times during the Flower and Garden festival, and I don't think we've ever felt the need to stand in line before a concert. We can generally just walk in and find a seat shortly before the show starts. I'm not saying that the shows don't ever fill up to capacity - I'm sure some of them do. But it isn't the norm. If you absolutely have to have a front row seat for your favorite group, then by all means it's worth your while to get in line an hour or more early. But if you just want to hear the music and don't care where you sit, you can probably get in just before showtime. As a previous poster said, you can hear the acts just as well if you stand in the back or sit at the outdoor tables outside the American Adventure counter service place (whose name I always forget).

Agree.:)

Even for the most popular Bands,30 minutes before showtime will "most likely" get a seat somewhere.:)

Guests who want seats in the front sections do line up much earlier.:)

Have a great trip.

I can say from experience that the Starship show people line up far in advance, this is the most popular group and they have groupies. Also some of the artist perform different songs during the 3 shows that night and some do the exact same show every time. You never know until you are there.
I have also been to shows where the theater is half full, just depends on popularity.

You can always sit on the patio of the quick service restaurant in the America pavilion if the theater is empty.

Does anyone recall when the list of concerts were released? I'm trying to figure out when I can expect next years concerts to be announced.
