Garden Grove

I have made reservations for the Garden Grove Seafood Buffet this August. The reviews seem good. Anyone on the DIS boards have personal experiences?

Also, we are staying at the Yacht Club. Can we walk to the Swan or should we take the boat?

I can't answer your question about Garden Grove as a dining experience, but I can say that you can definitely walk from YC to Swan. It's extremely close and there's a nice walking path. It'll take maybe 5 minutes? Waiting for and riding the boat would take much longer.

FYI, the seafood buffet is only on Fridays and Saturdays so make sure that's when you go.

We liked it very much last October and have every intention of going again this year. Everyone gets a stuffed half lobster. The table gets a basket of fried seafood. The house craft beer, Phins and Feathers, was very good.

The crab legs were the best thing IMO. Thick and meaty, they were better quality than the ones served at Cape May Cafe earlier that week.

The prime rib was good too. They roast it very rare, then a chef is stationed at a hot stone to cook it to order. Mashed potatoes tasted homemade, and green beans were fresh.

It's an excellent choice. If you have a AAA membership, show your card for 10% off.
