Garden Grove buffet with characters today on Groupon!!

restaurant.com had 25 dollar gift certificates for 2 dollars the other day if you sign up for emails. They have them for other restaurants in disney too.

Just don't expect alot of characters at Garden Grove. The last time we were there they had only 2 characters and the interaction was minimal if any since the restaurant is so large

On the website it does indicate that there are only 2 characters. Its either Rafiki/Timon or Pluto/Goofy.

$18 is a great deal! thanks for posting! :)

Do you have to sign up for the e-mail to get the deal or can you search for Disney restaurants on their website and get the same price? I've used restaurants.com before but never thought about looking for Disney restaurants. That's cool! TFS.:thumbsup2

Search the Restaurant.com website for zip 32830 and you'll get all the WDW properties available.

In my opinion the Groupon deal might be a little dicey... Correct me where I am wrong though, please.
If you don't go on seafood night, the price of an adult buffet is $30 as opposed to $36, so you're saving $6 less, unless the coupon is for $18 off and not $18 for an adult dinner.
Also, if you're not staying on property from what I understand there is a $12 parking fee. Does the daily parking at WDW ($14 if I am not mistaken) include parking at the Swan?

So, if the answer to the parking question is yes and the groupon simply takes $18 off the check, then it's not too bad of a deal.

As a person planning on going solo in September, this is a wonderful deal! I looked into the Restaurant.com deal but it really didn't work for me since I am by myself. $18 for a buffet in disneyworld is a heck of a deal.

Thanks for the info. Just bought a $25 gift certificate for Il Mulino for $3 with the couon code SWEET!!

They're primarily for restaurants inside the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. They're on Disney property, but they're Starwood resorts, not Disney. I don't think they have any for Downtown Disney and they definitely don't have them for restaurants in the parks.

If you are traveling solo or have different ordering preferences read the small print before you buy a certificate. Most of them require the purchase of two entrees and permit the use of one certificate per table - not per family.

Parking fees at the Swan/Dolphin are not covered by the Disney theme park parking fee. Has nothing to do with whether you stay on property or not, as the Swan and Dolphin are not Disney resorts. Yes, if you are going to park a car to eat there you must pay the parking fee. I believe some of the restaurants validate, but I don't know if Garden Grove is one of them. It's usually the more expensive ones.

The Swan and Dolphin do have access to Disney transportation (buses, boat from DHS and Epcot).

Sadly, no. WDW resort or theme park parking don't cross over to the Swan or Dolphin. You are correct that if driving, that costs should be factored in as well.

They have previously listed House of Blues on restaurants.com, and we used that with no problem. However, that's the only one I can think of at DTD.

Anyone who has bought them already... when do they expire? We aren't going until March but its a good deal and I'd get them now if I knew they would still be good.
