Has anyone ate at the buffet at Garden Grove lately? What was the price? And do they take breakfast reservations at all, or is it just walk up?

We went a non character breakfast day and they did not take ressies but it was horrible.

I have eaten there for breakfast and enjoyed it! It's a really nice buffet.
They don't take reservations for breakfast...It's walk up only 6:30a-11:30am daily
Are you going during the week or on the weekend?

The weekend is a character breakfast with 2 characters. The Characters don't start until 8am.
When I went it was Pluto and Goofy, but I think the characters change.

They give 3 discounts Disney Vacation Club 20%, Tables in Wonderland 20%, AAA members 10% (must have your card)

The weekend Character buffet price: Adults 25.99 Children 16.99
During the week Breakfast buffet price: Adults 23.99 Children 14.99 (3-9)

The price includes Starbucks coffee and Orange juice.

They do also have a small menu if you don't want the buffet, but I think the buffet was great for the price.

Only 2 characters? Hmmm, my 5-five-year-old niece would probably like Cape May better then. They have at least 3 characters, right?

:offtopic: Where can you find the list of restaurants that have AAA discounts? Is it on the AAA website? Thanks! :wizard:

It was either 3 or 4 I can’t remember but it is one of the best breakfasts on property.

IDK if any Disney restaurants offer AAA discounts, but all the casual restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin do.

Garden Grove, Fresh Mediterranean, The Fountain, Cabanas, Splash and Picabu give 20% off food for AAA members.

Yes if you want more characters then Cape May is a good choice with 3 characters, you will pay a little more, but get more characters.

So you can't make reservations for weekend garden grove buffet?
No I believe it is walkup only. I was there at 8am for breakfast, and there were only 3 other tables occupied at that time and no one waiting

Yes I called and they said just go to the restaurant and you will be placed on a list.. It will be interesting to try this especially since you usually book places 6 months out... Also trying Shula steakhouse

I have a feeling you're gonna figure out why "worrying" about adr's at 180 is definitely not mandatory.
If you are sushi fans, Kimonos will be well worth your while, as well.

There were 4 characters when we visited on a Sunday in September 2016 - Chip, Dale, Pluto and Goofy. I love any place I can get a made to order omelette :)
