Just got back from Disney last week from a wonderful trip. Ordered groceries from Garden Grocer as I have done in the past. Usually no issues. Have a son with major food allergies so brand specific is important to ensure no issues. Of course have to write in for certain juice and first deilvery was no problem no issues. The next delivery after we moved hotels was the problem. Had to call about the juice not being the right brand and told them they delivered the correct brand earlier in my trip. She questioned me again and I said I still have the remaining bottle here. Customer service not so pleasant. I just blew it off. I was in Disney so everything was great. Got home and looked at my bank statement and found that the charge dates didn't match up. Just called and got a nasty girl that kept calling me "mam" I really hate that. Come to find out that everything was correct but the dates still don't match up.
The girl on the other end was just very short and snippy. She said "well mam this is what we have for you"
Well I have news for her I won't be ordering from them again.
Just had to vent. I really liked the convienince of their service but I may just get a cab next time and shop for myself.
Sorry to grab everyones ear.

We use wegoshop.com especially because we have some brand specific items. They are always friendly. Had a brand problem one time and she replaced it the next day.

This is a bummer to hear. I was just making a list for our first order with Garden Grocer. They seem like they were a lot cheaper than Wegoshop. We don't cook in the room so our order is mostly drinks and breakfast stuff. Garden Grocer only charges a $12 delivery fee. Now I'm not so sure.

On a side note how far ahead do most people put their order in? Is it too early to do it 30 days ahead?

On the recommendation of MS, we used Goodings for our last trip. They were very efficient and filled our order without any problems. They even filled the items we added in the comments section of the order because they weren't on the canned list of stuff. Overall, I'd use them again.

We used GG in 2007 and everything was fine but I didn't love the produce. We're using GG for the staples and beer and using Kelly at Personal Disney Shopper for meats, produce, bakery, and cheeses. :thumbsup2

We've used GG 4-5 times now and never a problem.
Sorry, you did. Makes a trip less than magical.

We used GG a few years ago and had food missing from our order. It took 3 days to get the missing items replaced and dealing with customer service was like pulling teeth. We also noticed the markup when we compared the food labels to the receipt plus the delivery fee.

We tried WeGoShop. No markup, great service.

We shopped at Goodings also a few years ago at the end of Hotel Blvd. The place was a pig pen and the prices were high.

Now we rent a car and go where we want, when we want and we don't have to deal with Disney transportation. Sometime we eat off site, sometimes at Disney restaurants, mostly in our villa.

Sorry you had a bad experience with GG. We have used them twice now without any issues. Hope we don't have any in Oct.
