I plan on ordering from Garden Grocer but have a question for those who have used them before: how do you schedule delivery? Do you need to be there or can they leave your order with the front desk?

Emily

Although I have never ordered from them, they received great reviews on disboards and mousesavers. I recommended them to my sister who will be in Florida the end of March/beginning of April. She has two kids under 4 and this will save her a trip to the grocery store on the way from the airport. Plus, she won't need to lug diapers and stuff on the plane.
Call the hotel/resort where you will be staying and ask them if they charge a fee for receiving or holding a package delivery for you first. When you order from Garden Grocer, I think you can work with them to coordinate a delivery time.
Good Luck!
Safe trip!

I was told they will leave it w/ the bell hop and refrigerate cold things. I put a tip into the bill so I don't feel guilty about not being there. Give them a call if it helps ease your mind!

We have used them, wonderful service. When you order on line there is a spot for instructions. I just put on there to leave with bell services. When bell services receives the groceries they will refrigerate anything that needs to be kept cold. There is also a place to put a tip when you are putting in your order.

When you are in your room, call bell services and have them deliver the groceries to your room. We tip bell services as well.

Put your order in early. They only deliver a certain number of orders per day and I have read of people not being able to get delivery if they are all booked up.

How far ahead are we talking? weeks or months?

we are arriving during easter week-crowded time- and I placed my order 2 weeks in advance. Some dates were being blocked out then but I had no trouble!

Thanks for the tips, I didn't think about ordering early. I will have to add that to my calendar of things to do before we leave................. 36 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emily

If you are ready a month ahead of time, that's when I would do it just to be safe. It really depends alot on what time of year you will be going. It can't hurt though to put it in early if you're ready for it.

Going in 18 days is that to late?

Do they have a spot that says they are full or not for a certain time?

Thanks!

We just used garden grocer and had a little bit of a problem with a mixup of our groceries (I think that was bell services and not garden grocer) but the groceries all come in bags that are labeled with you name so it was easy enough to sort out.

Totally worth doing, we ate breakfast in our room 6 of the 8 mornings we were there since we aren't big breakfast people. I bought us snacky stuff too but we didn't need that at all since we weren't in our room very often.

I had tons left over and the prices for the groceries were cheaper than some of the prices we have here in Montana. Definitely get water....we used almost a whole gigantic pack of water bottles between the two of us in 9 days. The only other thing I really wish we had ordered was pop...we were at CSR and it wasn't really worth the time to go to the food court, refill our cups, and bring them back to our room since we were always trying to make rope drop (did it every single day except the day we planned on sleeping in!).
I don't drink coffee and that's the only way I can usually get caffeine in the morning....luckily crystal light has a variety that has caffeine in it!

I am going to order from them too. First trip to WDW, but I can't figure out if I can take snacks and water with us in the parks. Can somebody tell me please.:yay: :yay:
