Garden Grocer or WeGoShop?

I'm wondering if she could deliver my items before noon on my arrival day. Would she be able to leave my delivery with Bell Services even though I haven't checked in yet?

Yep, they can leave them with bell services, but according to the website there is an automatic tip added to the fee. So, that is up to you. Honestly, I am considering getting that done this time.

so how do I know what prices are on items I would want to order? Like for wegoshop,I'd need to know what I wanted, and list it all out,but how would I know what the local superwalmart would charge for the items? they charge a much higher fee that GG,which I've used in the past-
I like the idea of walmart prices, but they aren't the same everywhere

This is probably the easiest way. My order could be there when I check in :cloud9:

That's a great question. When do you know how much your order costs?

They have always delivered to my room. When they do that you are presented with the Walmart receipt and a bill. The bill consists of the grocery total and the service fee. I have NEVER been approached with request for tip (as some others have mentioned). If they are dropping the items at bell services, I would assume that you would be required to give them a CC number and they would in turn, leave the items and the bill with the reciept and total for you at bell services with your items. I did read on the website that if you chose to leave your items at bell services you are required to leave a certain percentage tip. Still pretty convient in my opion and I am considering it next time.

With regard to the question regarding the cost of the items. Most Super Walmarts are pretty comparable in price. I didn't not notice a marginal price increase on the items that I purchased from the Orlando Walmart via We Go Shop from the Walmart that I use here at home. My husband just reminded me that I actually mentioned that the water was about $.50 cheaper per 24 pack. Since I have a little man, I basically bought the same stuff that I buy for home or camping trips... water, juice, peanut butter, bananas, soy milk, ect. and the cost was pretty well the same. I hope this helps. I know how very nerve wracking that it can be to ensure that you have the things that you need in your hotel room, when you don't have a car.

Thanks so much! Considering Garden Grocer has a limited selection of diapers and I'm not so sure about shipping a box ahead of time, I'm thinking WeGoShop might be the best for us. Plus I'm not limited to the selection Garden Grocer has.

To add to this, you don't have to have her use Walmart. You can specify which local store you'd like her to use (ex. Publix, Winn-Dixie, etc.) or Super Target, Walmart, etc. She'll also go to more than one store if you specify that. We just indicated on our order to go wherever our items would be cheapest, and she went to Publix.

We have used garden grocer everytime we've gone and liked the service. Will be using them again.

IDK.....we've used GG for a few years, and though the prices are higher than at home, I know exactly what it will cost while ordering, which seems simpler to me....am I missing something? I figured it cost more than groceries at home, but eating out at disney 3x a day costs WAY more!:thumbsup2

I didn't know you can request Target. I thought it had to be from the list.
We rented a car in August and thought Publix was more expensive than Target.

:confused3 I apologize ahead of time but I want to put a different ? out there in regards to ordering snacks/water for the resort???

How much time in advance should I place the order for water etc? I will be arriving at Disney a week from tmw (Tuesday) and my significant other just informed me they now want a case of water ordered...

No need to apologize. We are all here to learn. If he just wants a case of water. It isn't going to be worth your while to use either GG or We go shop because of the delivery fee. But, if you are ordering more than water, which is pretty easy to do, I would call Marge with We Go Shop and set up a time to have some items delivered. I don't know if they have all of their slots filled or not, but it never hurts to call and ask. I usually call about a month in advance because we usually go during free dining and people with toddlers need their stuff! You may also want to see if you can get a case of water via Amazon delivered to the hotel (if all you want is water). Not sure if Amazon carries that, but it would totally be worth it to look and see. Hope this helps!

Had no idea you can use Amazon to deliver things to the resort.

Yeah.... you can. A lot of people get crackers, ect delivered. It works out as well. Just be careful because depending on the way that it is shipped and the hotel you could incur a charge. I think it has to be shipped USPS to avoid a charge. I will also ship boxes of food or necessary supplies to myself at the resort. Works well. :dance3:

Thanks for the info!

Bitsmommy .... Thanks for the comments on We Go Shop.

Marge is my sister. I can defiantly tell you she would not stand for the Tip issues that people have raised. We Go Shop provides the unique opportunity to get what you want not what someone provides.

The will shop where you want them to and get what you want them to get. Marge is dedicated to customer service. If you run in to any issues they would get handled.

I run a Disney Tips / News / and Deals Blog. If you read the general consent on the Dis Boards you will see that people love We Go Shop Orlando. Marge will do her best to ensure you Vacation is not adversely effected by your grocery needs.

We just got back from disney and used WeGoShop...LOVE THEM!...I called when we arrived to let them know we got to the resort early and she..i totally am forgetting her name who shopped for me...and she said she was just about to go shopping for me and would be at the resort shortly..Didn't take her long at all. She got EVERYTHING i needed and i think our fee was $22..give or take, but we had a large order..was totally worth every penny. She also called and told me to bring my stroller to take my items up so i wouldn't have to use bell service (saved me a tip for them)...at pofq they don't allow wegoshop to take the items to the room because then the bell service wont get their tips..its a union thing i understand.. But we got snacks, water, diapers, wipes, juice, milk, and many other items.
I will ALWAYS use WeGoShop when we travel! So Worth It.

we just decided to rent a car for those types of things... plus, DH knows his way around area... that way we can get around as needed....
