Garden Grocer or Publix?

Hi Dis Family,

I can decide whether to order groceries online with a service like Garden Grocer or take a cab to nearest Publix/Walmart.

Have any of you been disappointed with your service ordering groceries online? This is a new concept as I like to "pick up" what I need and actually see my vegies, fruits, etc.

Any thoughts?

We have used gardengrocer.com for several visits now and have not been disappointed. I really appreciate the convenience....my vacation time is valuable so I love having it delivered.

The fee charged by gg is much less than round trip cab fare/car rental...and time on vacation where you can relax instead is priceless!!! I would risk someone else picking out my veggies for that!!!

Good Point....let someone else squeeze the melons!
I've a date with a rope drop!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I'll probably breakdown and order the grub.....it's just soooo hard to relinquish any measure of control when it comes to these Disney trips! :confused3

We have used gg 2 or 3 times and were very impressed. They even called us from the store to see if we thought of anything else we needed and to tell us they had a bucket of chicken on sale!

I was just wondering the same thing myself. We are heading down in August and I wanted to order food this time and was not sure where to order it from.

We used gg last year & plan to use them again. Don't know much about Publix.

We used Garden Grocer in January for the first time and their service was flawless. I highly recommend them.

Garden Grocer is a life saver, you'll be too busy to go offsite and buy groceries. Who needs the hassle when there are rides to ride, shows to see and Characters to hug!!!!

DITTO! I have been very impressed by garden grocer. The fruit and other perishables we ordered were good quality.

There is also wego.com
Marge is wonderful and they shop were ever you want them too.
You only pay the prices they pay plus delivery.

We have also used garden grocer with no problems.

My friend took a cab from CSR to Publix and it was over $40. They had the driver wait for them while they, literally, ran through the store.

I think the gradengrocer delivery fee is only $12.

I thought it was wegoshop.com? Anyhow, we used her service, too, because she would buy anything, not just from the GG list. She bought a lot of things on sale, and we got the sale price, which was nice.

Yes, Wegoshop is correct. HERE is a link. We have used WGS in the past and loved it. We have also used GG and got good service but in future we will probably use WGS again. Marge was great. She will shop where ever you request so you can have her go to Publix for you if you want. :)

We have used garden grocer two or three times and loved it. Very friendly. Even called us to see if we forgot anything.

Garden Grocer was great but we enjoyed picking out our own food at Publix rather than doing it online. Yes, they have a good selection online but there's nothing like being at the store and handling the items yourself. We ate two meals a day in our room so we enjoyed the food we bought at Publix more so than Garden grocer as we had more variety to pick from.

It depends on how much you need. If it's just a few snacks and water, then go for Garden Grocer.

We had a great experience with GG. We arrived to the resort just as GG dropped our groceries off. 12.00 delivery fee is much better than a cab fee, I think.
