we are going in may to POFQ and we land in orlando at 5pm not sure what immigration queues etc will be like or transfer times so am hoping to be at resort by half 7 ish

we are thinking of using garden grocer to set us up with crisps snacks etc to make it a bit cheaper in the parks (we have the dining plan but my son is a major grazer !!)

has anyone used them before and if so would they deliver even if we were running late ?

i assume they would just leave our delivery with reception but when i checked on their website i wasnt sure

I haven't used them myself, but they receive very good reviews.

Are the goodies for your arrival night or just stock to keep at hand for the duration of your stay? You could just order for delivery the day after you arrive.

Otherwise the resort should keep your parcels for you until you are checked in and have been assigned a room number if you need some of the items for the night you arrive.

we used them in March last year and cant reccomend them enough! i think i ordered for about 8pm and we were in the room by 6.30 and i gave bell services a call and was told it had just arrived and they brought it striaght up. We had a 5 month old so i had ordered all the nappies, water etc and some snacks and def worth it. We stayed at POR and the guy said so many people order from them so they know the drill. :thumbsup2

We used them twice last trip an will DEFINITELY be using them ag least twice this trip.

Perfect for us as we dont hire a car!

We used them the last two years for deliveries to Old Key West and absolutely no complaints. Would definitely recommend.

Another positive :thumbsup2 for Garden Grocer.

We have used them now on each trip and every trip. On one occasion we hadnt even checked in due to delays etc.. and upon arrival to our room Disney had put all the refrigerated items in the fridge for me and emptied all the bags :)

A couple of things to note though:

1. If you wish to order any alcohol you must email them your request as you are not able to order them direct online due to alchohol laws.

2. You need to pay for your groceries at the time of ordering, ie we paid for our October delivery in April, not like online shopping here were they debit your account on the day of delivery.

3. If there is anything you want and cannot find it on the website simply email them what you are looking for. They reply really fast to any queries.

Used them four times now, never had a problem and we buy our water about the same price for 20 bottles as 3 cost in the parks. Also buy fruit and snacks for the children to keep in their bags to snack on in the parks. Can't rate them high enough.

We're going to do this in sept, its the first time we're not having a car on arrival, mainly for water and snax.

I was just talking about this last night.Thinking of having a one bedroom at OKW and to save on the breakfast bill was going to preorder some bacon eggs, milk cereal, bottled water margarine etc.Does anyone know how much they charge to deliver?:confused3

I'm sure its around $10.00 but worth every penny to me :thumbsup2

i think you have to place a minimum order of $40 to get them to deliver anyway but as we are there for 2 weeks im sure it will all add up quickly lol !!
just waiting to get into double digit countdown heehee:cool1::cool1::cool1:

How far in advance do you all suggest I do my GG?

I've got 8 weeks to go!! Eeeee!

i personally am gunna do mine about 3 weeks in advance that way if there are any problems i have enough time to sort it out
am also gunna email the hotel im at to pre warn them as well that i will be expecting a delivery

DH is going mad on all the cereals you can get - i think hes more excited about that than actually going to florida :rotfl2:

That's interesting. We're staying onsite for one night before our cruise and we'd like to buy some alcohol to take with us. We were going to go to Walmart but it'd be so much easier to get it delivered to the hotel. Have you personally ordered alcohol from them? Do they send a list or something?

Hiya, I've never requested a list, in the past I've just emailed them whatever it is I am looking for and they have either said yes they have it, or offered me an alternative.

From passed experience they seem really helpful :thumbsup2

I have looked at this site before as we are staying at POFQ too and this could save us a lot of money. I'm glad to see so many positive reports:thumbsup2

BTW: Can you order milk etc from them? I was wondering if it would be ok or best bought from the hotel for cereals ?

I only drink Soy but we ordered it from GG and kept it in our room fridge. Was fine. :)
