Hi, we’re off in two weeks time and I just want to clarify a few things re baggage and allowed items.

We’re flying BA down to Gatwick and as they are cutting down the weight allowance we are going to buy more stuff at Duty Free and in Orlando so the cases are lighter.

We don’t drive so are thinking of getting a Garden Grocer delivery of water, snacks and toiletries. I have read good things about them, does any one have any comments? If I order soon is that enough notice for them?

Re Gatwick (we are flying with Virgin), I believe that you can take anything on board if you buy past security - so I will probably hit the Boots for the shampoo, conditioner, sun cream etc (seems a bit silly to weigh the bags then let you carry unlimited on board but still), can anyone see a problem with this plan?

Finally, I know you can’t take liquids on board UK flights unless they are in small tubs and screens separately. That’s fine, but what about coming home? Are there any restrictions?

Thanks folks, getting dead excited now!! :cool1:

Thanks Claire.

The flights are on seperate tickets.

I don't think its a big issue, but I'm one of those people who packs EVERYTHING we need for 2 weeks 'just in case' we can't get stuff there!! Drives hubby mad so this time I thought I'de be sensible....especially with the new luggage restrictions. :thumbsup2

We love Garden Grocer. We used it last year and thought it was a great service. I believe you only need a day or two notice, but I'm not sure. If you go to GardenGrocer.com you can get all the details. You pick your specific date and time for delivery. If your staying at a Disney hotel and if your not there at the time, they front desk will hold it for you. They put our refrigerated items in their refrigerator and the rest was in bags. We'll use them again this year. No problems with it at all. Have a wonderful trip!
