Garden Grill

Is the Garden Grill in Epcot? I thought I had read that it had been closed.

It's closed along with everything else in the Land Pavilion at Epcot right now while they finish renovating for Soarin'. The Land should reopen on May 5 as far as I know, but there is some speculation as to whether or not Garden Grill will reopen at that time or sometime later.

As of today the Garden Grill's reopening is "undetermined" officially although I have heard from CM's that it is coming back maybe not being called garden grill though.

Uuurgggg! We were hoping to eat there again in July. The cm told me closed indefinately, but I was still hoping it would open before July. September would definately be too late.

WHAT!!!! Were you able to make a ps seating for that day or do you know someone who did? I called exactly 90 days out from July 8 and was told that I could not make ps for that day. Looks like I will be calling back.

Thanks for posting. I haven't gotten around to calling yet. I would love to hear if anyone has been able to book a ps, not just been told a date.

They were taking PS for July 8th.

I was finally able to call and a very nice cm (geraldo?) told me that they were supposed to open July 7, but it has been changed. He took the time to look it up and read straight from the screen that it is closed until an undetermined date.

Unfortunately there was a file corruption in the restaurant's rotation controls. The only updated software availble for rotation of a structure is that used in Mission Space. They still have some kinks to work out (like peeling Chip and Dale off the restaurant's walls). Also, during CM previews, 100% of diners turned around and walked out when they saw airsick bags at each dinner setting.

Last week I took a special "Behind the Seeds" tour for kids (with my 9-year-old) and the CM said the only thing changing was the menu...and it wasn't changing much. She indicated that they were doing away with the skillet concept. She went on to add that the menus look awesome for the new restaurants that are opening downstairs.

Not sure when the Garden Grill is re-opening, she didn't have a set date.

From what I saw, the inside of the pavilion looks great, though! We passed by the entrance to Soarin', but didn't get to ride, since it was CM preview day.

Thanks for the link. The Land and Garden Grill looks great! I noticed that the menu board said that the meal featured roasted meats and fresh seafood? Is that a menu change?
