Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had anything good to say about Garden Grill. I've heard lots of good things about it and thinking of booking it for ADRS. Can someone tell me what kind of food they have there??

Here's a link to the Garden Grill menu--exact food varies, but this is a pretty good representation of the kind of thing they have. http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=374#menu

Garden Grill serves family style. Basically the choices you get to make here are what drinks you want and whether or not you want a second helping of something. That said, the food is fantastic IMHO. It's a character experience: Pluto, Mickey, Chip and Dale, and I've seen Minnie there but not sure if she still appears. Garden Grill serves the food that they produce in the Living with the Land gardens (and fish farms.) It is really neat to go on the ride and see what a wonderful system they have going, then enjoy the fruits of it.

My family eats here during every Disney trip, so we may be a bit biased. :)

The food is very delicious there. I would easily recommend it. The atmosphere and the service were great too. Character interaction was amazing as, Pluto, was running around looking for Chip and Dale. We had told him that Chip and Dale took his dog bone. It was very funny to watch. Overall, imo it is one of the best restaurants in Epcot.

We found it much better than we expected -the Catfish we had was excellent. And we had a great time -I would certainly go again.

This is one of our new favorite restaurants. We went for the first time in August. It was way better than I thought. Everything was delicious!! And excellent character interaction. Next time I would definately request a booth. My son had the mac &cheese it was some of the best I've ever had.
I would recommend eating here have fun!

We have been fans of Garden Grill since 1998. The food has always been good and the character interaction is seriously fantastic. The characters come around multiple times and really take the time with your time. Plus the rotating restaurant is very fun and I love being able to see the scenes from Living with the Land.

We ate there two weeks ago. The beef tenderloin and turkey w/potatoes were my favorites. The fish was good, too. We left stuffed and saw each character 2 times.

Here is the salad:

Rolls w/ honey butter

The turkey:

The fish: (it was listed as "sustainable fish of the day" and I failed to ask what it was, lol)

The kids' meal choices:

Kids' dessert, "mickey mousse". Yep, it's not ice cream, but a cookies n cream mousse

We absolutely LOVE GG!!!
It was one of the best finds recently for us. The salad is outstanding, the bread yummy, the turkey (chicken for kids meal) and beef were wonderful. The sides are really great too. The fish was just ok tho.

The only real downside was the dessert. I thought it was not good at all. Instead of ice cream they give out whipped cookies and cream thingy. Both for kids meal and to top the apple crumble thing. So not worth the calories.

But I could eat a whole bowl of their salad with the bread and be happy...

I'd go back in a heartbeat...

See it's so interesting how different everyone's tastes are.. I absolutely loved the "mousse." I am not a huge sweets fan, but I really loved these desserts. Actually, my whole family enjoyed the desserts. And honestly while on vacation with all the walking, I take a break from calorie counting and just enjoy the food. I'd happily eat that over ice cream any day.

We have been trying to get into the GG for the past few trips and haven't been able to get in but this trip I was able to get us adr's for our first night! Now you all have me REALLY excited! ;)

This wasn't in my original plan either but a ressie during our trip popped up this morning and it seems to popular we booked now I'm really excited i did Thanks!

We ate there last month and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and the characters were fabulous. They came around 2-3 times in the 90 minutes we were there. The only thing I didn't like was the dessert (adult not kids). It was a raspberry-apple crisp and the raspberry flavor overpowered it. The fish was excellent as was the steak. The salad and bread were sooo yummy! I also stole the baked mac n cheese from the kids because it was really good!

We just got back a few wks ago and I had posted this over on the dining reviews board about Garden Grill....don't know how to link it so I'm copying and pasting :)

We just got back this evening from a wonderful stay. I just wanted to write a quick review of the Garden Grill. It was really hard to get a reservation here, but I managed to snag one 2 days before we went there.

In all honesty, I just booked this reservation for chip and dale. Looking at their menu on all ears I was not expecting much. Our family is on the picky side and usually like different things so I was not sure how family style was going to go....but my daughter was turning 3 and LOVES chip and dale so we went.

It was amazing. Hands down it was the best meal of the trip. The salad and rolls were wonderful. The rolls were soft and warm and the maple butter was yummy. The salad had all kinds of wonderful things in it such as bacon, hard cooked eggs and a yummy ranch type dressing. A very hearty salad. Next came the main course. We had a turkey breast on mashed potatoes - the turkey was moist and delicious and the mashed potatoes divine. Next to that was the beef. It had a lovely sauce on it and was on some veggies (I'll admit I didn't pay too much attention to those ) The beef was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. Next to that was the fish on top of a rice dish (again I didn't pay too much attention to that - sorry I am not a fish eater, but my mom and DH LOVED it. and for my picky DH to like it, it had to be good.

The kids liked their baked mac-n-cheese, but not so much the brocolli though I liked it. They also did not like the sweet potato fries - I wish I had ordered them the "other options" on the menu, but it's not that the food for them was bad - it was just them :lol

Next was dessert - the kids had cute little "mickey mousse" sundaes and the adults had peach raspberry cobbler. We tasted it (were wayyyyy to full to appreciate it) and it was wonderful.

The character interaction was great - farmer Mickey is so cute! Chip and Dale were fun, I do wish that they came around together, but it was fine.

We also were lucky to have an awesome server - Cory. He earned a big tip that night - very personable and attentive. Great guy.

All in all - Garden Grill exceeded my expectations and we will definately make it a priority on our next trip.

What was the other options for the kids? I doubt my 3 year old would eat the drumstick either:confused3

I didn't pay too much attention to the menu itself, but thought I read somewhere on here that you could request hot dogs or chicken nuggets for the kids....someone correct me if I am wrong.....

Oh boy, I might have to go there on our next trip in July...it seems a lot less chaotic than seeing Mickey at Chef Mickey's...although we will still go to Chef Mickey's anyway! But there is something very appealing about a family-style character dinner instead of the buffet. I miss the old LTT character meal for this reason.

Is it "all you can eat" like at Ohanas? Can you ask for refills of certain menu items? thanks!

We ate there on Wed. You can ask for refills/2nds on anything you'd like. The characters were great and so was the food!
