Anyone eaten here? How did you like it? Any reviews? We are debating eating here or Raglan Road but we have two toddlers and have never been so we think it might be worth a shot!

We have eaten at Garden Grill a couple of times, and if your kids like the characters it is a lot of fun. We go simply because it's the best way to see Chip & Dale who are our son's favorites. It never seems super busy, so you get a bit more time with the characters and even multiple visits . It's also fun to see a couple sections of " Living with the Land" from above.

Food is mostly good. The Steak, salad, rolls and fruit cobbler/grunt are all great. The turkey and fish are just OK. It's served family style at your table, so no trips to a buffet. They will bring more of anything you like, just ask.

Our Ratings of Garden Grill: (rev 3/10/11)
. . . food price value: B
. . . food quality: C
. . . food quantity per serving: A
. . . food prep speed: B
. . . food selection: C
. . . seating quantity: C
. . . seating comfort: B
. . . eatery atmosphere: B
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B
. . . staff helpfulness: C
. . . character interaction: C

NOTE: The eatery revolves within The Land pavilion. Portions
of the spin include scenes from the boat ride. The food is plentiful,
with quality above average. The characters include Mickey, Pluto
and Chip-n-Dale. To dine with the characters it will suffice, but the
Quick Service area of Sunshine Seasons within The Land is a great
alternative if characters are not important.

The food is nothing great IMO, but the character interaction is some of the best on property. The characters can come by as many as 3 or 4 times (last time my girlfriend and I had a running gag with them through out our meal which was a lot of fun).

RR has better food than GG but may not be the best atmosphere for the little ones. We find the acoustics in there to be awful. It's pretty loud in there and the tables are not too spaced out. If you are there durring some of the entertainment it can be real hard to try to have a conversation with someone.

We love Garden grill and we don't have any kids!

The food is your usual Disney standard but the Oreo kids pudding is delicious! Plus they did a great tomato pot pie style dish for my veggie fiance and he said it was amazing. We are definitely returning :)

For kids the fact that they have characters and the restaurant revolves it's got to be a winner!

Plus, considering it was quite busy when we went we didn't get the usual feeling of hordes of people because of the layout. The booths on the bottom tier face outwards and you really feel like you're in your own world and the tables on the top tier were not crammed in and had a lot of space.

Loved the character interaction and the ambiance (maybe I'm still about 5 at heart, but HOW COOL is a rotating restaurant!). Food was adequate but expensive. I could see us returning here occasionally, but not every visit. This upcoming trip for example, we wanted to try something new, and 11 people would have to split into 2 booths (which at Garden Grill is less fun because you really don't see that other people are there while you're dining).

Great character interaction- but that's about the only positive i can say. THe food is foul in my opinion. Bland, overcooked, service is slow- if they didn't have characters I would imagine there would be hardly a soul in there.

If you decide to cancel, please let me know. My husband and I are looking for a reservation for our anniversary and it looks like you may be there at the same time we are if you are trying to decide for your trip in 18 days.

We love Garden Grill!! We go every year! I think the food is pretty good (it is a character meal, so no gourmet) but, its still pretty yummy and the veggies and fruit are grown in Living with the Land! The characters are always great, and never rush here. Make sure you ask for a seat in the lower level, so you can rotate and see all the seens from Living with the land. My daughter loves the buffalo.:goodvibes

I have wanted to eat here for several years. I remember eating ther as a kid with my parents and I loved the revolving restaurant and the scenes of the ride. I would like to share that with my own kids but can't seem to convince myself and DH to give the food a try here.

we thought the food was decent (but very salty).

it was a great meal to interact with the characters, and it was fun to travel while we ate!

We've ate there a couple times, and my son LOVED it. A good place to meet chip and dale! And he thought the rotating was cool! The food was so-so. It's served where they just bring you big platters and then you can ask for seconds on anything.

I love Garden Grill. I think the food is pretty good, although nothing fancy. The character interaction is more controlled than at a lot of the other character dining. The kids can have the kids meal or just eat what the adults are eating.

I am a first class Food Snob and I was happier than I expected to be with GG. The turkey and dressing are straight out of the box/wrapper but the fish and beef were very good and not over cooked. The vegetables wer also very nicely prepared and the salad alone is almost worth the trip. The cobbler was good fruit topped with Betty Crocker cake mix and I was not wowed by any other aspects of teh meal. I ate there twice last year and had very ggod service each time. I'd go again!

We like the food and have eaten there 2 or 3 times. We like the catfish and the other items are similar to what we've had at Liberty Tree Tavern.

This is a must-do for us. Again, the character interaction is great. I like the food. Our service has been great there. My kids both love Chip & Dale. As we were leaving, Chip was almost to our table (not for the first time). Our waitress stopped us and said, "Let me take a family picture for you". And, since the restaurant rotates, my kids consider it a "ride".

My kids rating:
DS - #1
DD - #2 (Mickey's BBQ is her #1)

We all really enjoyed Garden Grill and thought the food was good. We have ADR's for our trip next month.

GG is our favorite character meal and I love the food, especially the beef, salad, and cobbler type dessert! It is a must do for us! I have never been to RR.

We love GG! My sons are huge Chip and Dale fans and brought their Chip and Dale stuffed animals to dinner. Chip and Dale loved this and pulled Pluto over to show him and laugh at Pluto. Well, Pluto did not like that at all :lmao: Pluto then took one of the stuffed animals and tried to eat it! Chip and Dale where playing tug-of-war with Pluto and my son's stuffed animal. It was hilarious. My kids loved it and we got the best pictures of it all.

The next time Dale came around, he pointed to the stuffed animals then picked up my son's fork and pretended to eat my son's dessert while my son wasn't looking. My son thought it was so cool that he offered it to Dale. Poor Dale had to turn it down, though. We loved this character interaction!

We would definately go back to GG. The food was not the best we had on property, but it was good and seemed very fresh. We had a great waiter and he brought more of whatever we wanted. Plus, we liked being in the booths. You are not distracted by the characters being at other tables, because you don't really see them until they are next to you. We give GG :thumbsup2
