I have 11 total in my party. I have two reservations for 5 within 5 minutes apart. Any chance they can squeeze in my 11th person? Any experience with this scenario before? There’s a 5 year old in my party. I have additional reservations for my entire party, but these times work better(PPO).

Some tables have chairs and then some are the semi circle booths. So I guess it would depend on which you get. You could squeeze the 5 year old into the booth but if you get stuck with the regular table then you won't have enough chairs.

Also fire code capacity is an issue, there's a limit regardless of available space at the table. Hard to know if the restaurant would be anywhere near capacity. I think I'd opt for your ADR for all 11 people, or keep trying to find a time closer to what you want for the entire group.:)

Yes. What @Micca said. Please don't show how with more people than are on your reservation. A five year old is a person. Keep the less desirable time for all 11 of you, and continue trying for a reservation for six att the better time.

I somehow made an ADR for 8 instead of 9 (or the restaurant made an error somehow) last year at 50s Primetime for dinner (didn’t realize it until we checked in) and thankfully they were great about it. We had a 3 year old in the group and he didn’t take up much room anyway. I guess it depends on the restaurant but I don’t think it’d be a huge issue.

Thanks for the responses. I have always planned to try to get one of those to 6. I’m not trying to beat the system and be one of those people. I was just wanting to see if anyone had experience at GG. I still have a little time to find the right reservation and can’t wait to eat a sticky bun, whatever time that happens:)

Garden Grill is the best character restaurant in WDW imo, you get more interaction time with the characters and the food is so good and you don’t have to get up and risk missing a character like at the buffets. And I’d youre quick enough eating you can hoof it over to Soarin after and ride with minimal wait (for ppo).

I agree @disneydreamer1980. We are bringing two 80 year olds and this will be there first time to the world since the 80’s. This will be their first character meal. I just got another reservation so we may have to split up in 3 groups but we all got a seat!! :)
