I was just able to grab a dinner ADR for 9/15 YAY! Then I realized that The Land would be closed for refurb during that time BOO! Will the restaurant still rotate and will we still be able to see anything?

It has been years and years since we have dined at the Garden Grill-I'm excited about the menu and characters so if we are just sitting still that's ok too, just curious. Any recent reviews would be great!

TIA!!

Pretty sure the restaurant will still rotate.

Garden Grill was our favorite meal last November. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was great from the start. The character interactions were the best we had all trip and they each came around 3 times. It was our arrival day dinner and what a great way to start the trip.. We talked about it all week. I am sad I am not going during my upcoming trip, but we already said this is a must do for our Sept 2016 trip when we bring my niece for her first trip. Our favorites from the foods they brought- the beef, stuffing, mashed potatos and turkey. Even though we were full by dessert, we still tried some and it was so good- a warm berry cobbler with fresh whipped cream.

This place gets a lot of love and hate. We LOVE it! We really weren't sure when booking it- actually booked it, then cancelled it and then booked it again and I am so glad we did.

While I haven't been when it wasn't rotating so I am not sure what you can expect now we ate there during our last trip and I was not impressed. I did not think the food was good at all. Yes you get a good variety but I thought a lot of it was gross. I am not a picky either. The family style is a good idea I just wish they put more quality into their food when paying that much. The characters were fun it felt more rushed then other character meals and there isn't much space. I dont think I'd ever eat there again just FYI

I am surprised you liked the food that much. I just wasn't impressed and we def aren't that picky. We def enjoyed ourselves it just wasn't as good as I expected and compared to other character meals.

We thought it was delicious and my brother-in-law is a big foodie and can be somewhat picky, and he even loved it. I know some restaurants have their off nights, but they were on point the night we went and we thought everything tasted great. We aren't picky eaters either but we like good food and Garden Grill was nothing short of that for us. But this is the same thing with all of the restaurants in disney (or most).. everyone seems to love the food at lunch at BOG and we did not care for it at all- it was just nothing special, but dinner on the other hand is a different story. :)

Thank you for the reviews. I know that not everything is for everyone. We are 4 adults with one of us being somewhat of a "plain" eater- she likes regular old home cooking and this seems to fit that.

Def not trying to bash I just expected a little more but maybe it was an off night. :) I hope you enjoy it.

I would think it will still rotate. I'm guessing if a scene from the land is being refurbed you might see a scrim instead. I barely noticed the scenes because the food and characters were so good. My family really enjoyed our meal here, everything was delicious.

I'm a Foodie and my Wife is picky, we had a Processional Meal here in December. We both came away stuffed and very happy with the quality and quantity! We really enjoyed the beef and before we knew it there was a massive plate of it at our table!

As mentioned by PPs, Character interaction is very good, they spend a decent amount of time, and multiple times with all guests. The servers are all very welcoming and can't do enough for you.

Garden Grill was probably my favorite meal during our 2012 trip, and I'm seriously considering adding it in for 2016 even though I'm trying to try out new places.

Garden Grill is a must for us every trip, in fact in a mere 29 days we will be having dinner there!

We at there last fall for the first time and thought it was delicious. The rolls were so fluffy. The beef and mashed potatoes were our favorite of the main foods. We don't really care for cobbler, so we had the "kids" desert of little cupcakes - they were yummy.

Our favorite restaurant, LTT for lunch, will be closed during our November trip so I grabbed a lunch at Garden Grill. Is it sort of similar to LTTs dinner menus?
