If you had to choose one, which restaurant would you pick to eat Thanksgiving dinner at Garden Grill or Tusker House? I always heard Tusker House is really good and always wanted to try it, but I have a 14, 11 and 8 year old that are not adventurous eaters. TIA

Tusker is one of my favorites but if not adventurous eaters, then go for GG as it will have more traditional food. They do have carved meats at Tusker, however, and they may find things they will eat. but I would still steer you to GG with your description of your kids

Hmmm, thats a tough one. They're both good! One perk to Tusker is that its a buffet, so there's guaranteed food to please everyone. But GG is awesome because you sit and chill at your seats waiting for both the food and characters to come to you. Food there is fresh and delicious. I can see why you have trouble deciding.

I'd be leaning towards GG because the stress of running up to the buffet to avoid missing a character is too much. Lol. And if you miss that character...lord help you...its a bit of wait for that character to come all the way around again. Plus, GG food is awesome. :) :) :)

My children are not adventurous either and were very happy with the selection at Tusker House. I like it a lot better than garden grill, which looks a lot more dated and the food didn't wow me there.
I would stop at liberty tree tavern on thanksgiving though

I agree with the Liberty Tree Tavern option. Family style and a great meal! It will seem more like a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

OUCH you have a tough choice both are great places to eat but for Thanksgiving I give the nod to Garden Grill. Traditional foods and like your table at Thanksgiving they will keep bringing it to you until you are ready to fall asleep at your table.

I didn't really find the Tusker House offerings to be "adventurous", but all disney buffets seem to have processed mickey nuggets and nuclear yellow mac and cheese for the "picky eaters".

If you want a better character experience, then go with Garden Grill. It's one of the better options for character interactions. If the place isn't crowded the characters will spend more time at your table playing around. We've also had characters come around multiple times over the course of a meal there. At TH they're basically whisked from table to table by their handler. But, at GG the menu is very specific, so you shoudl make sure your party will enjoy what's offered there before choosing it.

Tusker House is our favorite character meal! I would choose that over Garden Grill. I think the food at Garden Grill is mediocre at best.

Does Tusker House add/change their menu given that it's Thanksgiving? Garden Grill is too much like school caf food but it is your traditional holiday dinner.

Based on your kids not being adventurous eaters I would definitely go with the GG. Both are good meals though but your kids might be restricted to chicken fingers and mac & cheese at TH. We've always found the food to be very good at the GG and we've had some really good character time there as well.

Man, that's tough. They're like my two favorite table service places in the parks! I think for Thanksgiving I'd probably want more of a Garden Grill style meal. Tusker is great though, but the food is a bit different (though they still have plenty of "safe" choices too, at least at Breakfast). I think for a Thanksgiving meal, Garden Grill is a great way to go!

I prefer Garden Grill. I like family style better than the buffet, I think the food is better, the character interaction is less rushed and it's a smaller / quieter venue.

With Garden Grill you also get turkey and stuffing as part of the meal and I really like the pot roast and mashed potatoes.
