Thinking of trying Garden Grill for dinner.
We will be coming to Epcot about 4pm to try to ride TT and MS, then have dinner (would like a character meal) and afterwards see Illuminations.
Has anyone ate at Garden Grill lately? We will be a party of 8 - 4 adults and 4 kids.
All opinions/feedback is greatly appreciated. Thxs!

I love the setting at the Garden Grill!

We ate at GG two years ago and plan on it again this upcoming trip. We did not eat dinner, but lunch. We found the food good and the character interaction wonderful! The characters spent a LOT of time with us and came to our table at least 2 times- some of them more! We have eaten at Crystal Palace, Hollywood and Vine, CRT, and Donald's Breakfastsaurus and the Garden Grill had the best character interaction!
The food was OK- decent, nothing spectacular. It is all you can eat, but served on plates at your table. We had to ask for more of anything we needed more of.
I would definitely recommend this one if you want good character interaction!

It's great, I am sure you will love it. When I took my party of 9 it was their favorite place of all the meals we had.

We love it there. The restaurant is a revolving (very slowly) one and the dinner is great. They start with bread and salad with veggies from The Land. Then they bring out a big skillet of steak, chicken, fish, stuffing, mashed potatoes and more veggies. The dessert changes but is good. The character interaction is also good. Mickey, Chip & Dale are in farmer gear and Pluto is there also. Have fun!

Thanks everyone - but I've got a big problem now that I really want to go to GG.....
We are a party of 8 and they cannot give us a table for 8 on the night we want to go. They offered "two tables close by"
This is a short family trip and really want a booth together.
For those who have been, would it be a problem to sit in 2 tables of 4, or should be get there right at opening without a PS and hope they can accomodate us??
They told me all tables "booths" for 8 were booked
We really want to have dinner, then stay around for Illuminations......what to do???

We travel with family too and the last time we ate there we had 3 tables of 4. The table close to us was fine, but the third table seemed a way off. Remember, the restaruant slowly rotates and is in a circular form, with the tables lining the 'circle'. So it's kinda like they are in a 'line' around the circle. I think you will be fine- with two tables, you will be very close. Definitely able to carry on conversations. If you are unsure, I would arrive early and speak with the host/hostess to ensure they give every effort to put you together!

Its in the Land pavilion in EPCOT. The whole restaurant slowly turns while you are eating.

The meal is served Family Style. We love this restaurant. We eat there practically every trip.

We have reservations there for Thanksgiving. Will they have a special menu?

Thanks everyone!
Tink2 - I think I'll give the two tables a try. We are also going to eat at SciFi at MGM and they are all tables(cars) of 4 (The family is the "in-laws" so maybe 2 tables is a good idea - LOL! :D )
I'm one of those mega planners and if we don't do GG it'll mess up my itinerary (I'm on revision #5 - and it's only a 3 day, plus MNSSHP!)
Anyway, my advise to all you mega planners, figure out where you want to eat first and on what days well before the 90 day mark so you won't be disappointed (or know you'll have to eat when it's well past everyone's bedtime - I swear everytime I call Chef Mickey's, I get a nice "we have a lovely table at 9:30pm for you  )
I'll let you all know how our visit to GG went - Thanks!
