I have a four-year-old dd who gets car sick. Will the Garden Grill (the fact that it rotates) make her ill?

Ohanas sounds wonderful. I am trying to decide between dinner at the Garden Grill or Ohanas. I want to the children to have the most fun. Their ages are: 4, 6, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18. The older ones don't mind if it is more kiddie like for the little ones. Thanks.

I suffer from motion sickness too. Planes, cruise ship, car, rides, I get it all.

I have eaten at Garden Grill and the motion is hardly detectible. It should not pose a problem.

Between Ohana's and GG, I would choose Ohana's for many reasons. But if characters are a priority then you will want to do GG. There are no characters at Ohana's.

As a trade off though they play some fun games, like coconut races and hula lessons.

You'll have a great time either place.::yes::

Why not do O'Hanas for dinner and GG for the ice cream social at $6.99 it a steal!!!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

The GG should not make her ill. The motion has never bothered me. Their food is yummy too.

I agree, GG turns so slowly the only time you can tell is when you enter the turnstile to get into the restaurant otherwise you can't really tell it's moving.

I do agree with the previous poster about chosing O'Hana's. You might be a bit more comfortable with a large family with the seating options there plus the kids can get up a participate in the games. You could be seated at a round table or a long table here. The food is very good here and you do have optional kid's choices to choose from for the younger ones.

But, GG is one of the best character meals as far as interaction goes and the food is very good. But the seating is much more compact. You would actually be seated with everyone facing out looking out of the restaurant. So you all would almost sit in a line, if that make sense.

My husband did get sick at the Garden Grill from the motion, so it depends on how sensitive she is. He had to leave mid-way through dinner.

We loved 'Ohana! We (the rest of us) also enjoyed the Garden Grill. It depends on what you are looking for.

There are tables at the GG that do not move. they are beloew the base. You can ask to be seated there, but there could bea wait. But, well worth it if you think she might get sick.

I vote for GG. We had a large group at Ohanas and as much as we all enjoyed it, the kids ages - 4, 4, 1, 7, had a much better time at character meals. They do have the hula hoop and coconut races but hey, they don't have Mickey, Chip and Dale and Goofy :)We love GG and no I don't think your DD will feel sick, like someone said it hardly feels like it's turning.

Have Fun..Daisy:sunny:

Wow. I did not know that. Thanks PamCo88. I learned something new about WDW today!

I'm going to go off another direction here. If you've got kids from 4 - 18, I'd go to Whispering Canyon instead. With all the antics they do, the kids would have a great time.

I'd do Garden Grill just for the ice cream social. You still get characters (Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale) but it costs you $6.95 per person (+ tax)

Ohana is really good too. Whispering Canyon and Ohana are my family's favorite. The food at Ohana is yummy!
