Garden Grill in Epcot

I have never been to this restaurant. I know it is called Chip and Dale's Harvest Feast. I thought it was a buffet, but I read something that made me think it was a family-style restaurant.

If it is family-style can someone tell me about the food. I read on a menu that they have kid's selections, so I was wondering about this too.

The meal is served family style... meaning, the food will be brought out on platters and in bowls. The servers will replinish anything you ask for. You can request chicken fingers and french fries for the kids and they can also eat off the other foods as well.

When we went in June, 2007, the menu was turkey, catfish, flank steak, veggies, rolls and salad. At that time, the dessert was some kind of berry puff pastry. The kids were given decorate your own cupcakes.

The characters are Mickey, Chip, Dale and Pluto. They are all dressed in their farming attire.

The restaurant slowly revolves and you can see little peaks of The Living With The Land ride. It takes about an hour for the restaurant to make a full revolution.

We went last spring break and it was yummy. They bring platters to your table. There are rolls with butter and a nice garden salad. Then the main course comes and I remember thinly-sliced steak (kind of like a pot roast), sliced roast turkey, veggies (grown right there I believe) and mashed potatoes. There was catfish too but no one in our group tried it. I think there may have been macaroni and cheese also for the kids. The dessert evidently changes around but when we were there, they brought triangles of puff pastry with vanilla custard and berries -- it was delicious. For the kids they brought cupcakes they could decorate themselves with various toppings. We all enjoyed the food. The restaurant is kind of neat in that it very slowly rotates so you can see parts of The Land ride as you pass. The characters come to your table to visit -- I remember Mickey had farmer overalls on. We got great photos. The only negative I recall is that they originally tried to stuff us into a teeny, crowded table where my poor Dad's legs would NEVER have fit (he is well over 6 feet tall and had just gotten his new knee). Luckily a nice manager moved us to a bigger booth meant for a larger party. We had a very nice dinner.

the food there is soooo good. we went on our last visit and will be going again in a couple weeks. we didn't want the catfish so asked that it didn't get brought to our table, but did ask for the kids stuff, chicken fingers and french fries. so much food!!!!!!

We had a great time at the Garden Grill - the character interaction was great and our waitress was tops. We all liked the food - and found it much better than some of the other family style meals we've had at Disney. The kids get a frost and decorate your own cupcake which they loved. We sat in the upper section. Most people prefer the lower section but we didn't care if we saw the scenes in The Land or not. The kids wanted to see the characters. We are definitely going here. The kids are so excited!! I just read all your reviews to the kids and showed them the above pictures.

It's going to be fun to try a new place we've never been to.

This was one of our faves.
One suggestion: I asked for all of the sauces to be served on the side. I just could not see DD eating the mushroom cabernet sauce.

We always eat here at least once each trip - even before we had kids!! When they were rehabing the land a couple years ago, we were so bummed! I've always felt we've had the best character meals here. Plenty of time. If you're able to go when it's slow, you'll practically have Chip and Dale at your table almost the whole night.

I would DEFINITELY suggest that you request a seat on the lower level.The three things that make this restaurant special are the character interaction,that it revolves and that you can see some of the Living with the Land attraction.You can see VERY little of Living with the Land from the upper level.I think,in my opinion,it adds to the experience to be on the lower level.
