Garden Grill ice cream social at epcot??

Has anyone heard of or attented this. I read about it in a guide book that says there is a 3pm ice cream social at the Garden Grill in Epcot. Its also says its $6.99 and a great way to meet charactors. I haven't been able to find any info for it any place else. We leave this Wed. If you know anything about it please let me know! Thanks!!

Yes, I've been to it. But, when I went, it was free, because Disney was giving away coupons to Disney Club members at that time. As far as I know, there are not ANY coupons anymore. You are correct that it is around $7.00. I enjoyed it as a free "perk," but don't know that I'd pay $7 for it.

We just did this is was great. You get served on a plate, a cookie on the bottom a waffle cone attached to this filled with icecream, choco syrup, a couple gummy worms, a fancy piece of chocolate, and one of those straw cookies..
It's in the rotating restaurant, and the characters there are some of the best anywhere they come around often.
It is a great deal if you want a "character meal" without the price of the meals.
Lunch is great there to though.

Thanks for the info, we all love ice cream so this sounds good to us. The kids are still young enough to want to see characters so I will definetly look into going. Thanks again!!

OMG! This is so much fun! You will love it. We had to wait a bit to see the characters, but it was so worth it. Now, we did this last September and being that we were 29 and 34 with no kids made no difference. The characters really hammed it up with/for us. Chip and Dale were a hoot. Mickey wouldn't leave our table without a kiss on the nose from my honey. Dale took a walkie talkie out of an open flap of my backpack and pretended to talk to Mickey for a while. You should have seen the waitresses when they made him give it back. Oh, it was just priceless. I strongly suggest that anyone who wants to meet Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto check this out! Mickey
