Garden Grill - did menu change again?

I've never eaten at Garden Grill, but had always thought I'd try it sometime. Then came the renovation, after which I read lots of unhappy reports about the new menu. It seems to me that it had changed to ordering single entrees instead of a buffet or family style. Now I just looked at the menu, and it lists only a family style meal.

So did the menu go back to what it originally was, or is this something entirely different again? Has anyone eaten there recently? How was it?

TIA! :wave2:

The menu did change again. We haven't been back since the latest change but all the reports are that it is much better now.

Ate there two weeks ago, it was very good. The menu is family style, all you care to eat flank steak, fish, turkey, potatoes, veggies, desserts. Kids had chicken strips, mac and cheese, fries and decorate your own cupcake.

lbmom5...you said there was turkey on the menu. Allears lists the menu has having pork. My kids will not eat catfish, pork, or flank steak so we had to pass up this restaurant on our last trip. If there really is turkey instead of pork that would be great for us because then there would be a meat that they would both eat.

plus they offer chicken fingers and mac/cheese (or at least they did in september)...

We were skeptical of the new menu, but we liked the new menu so much last month, we actually ate there twice in that trip!! The new desserts were marvelous, and they still had the smoked steak, so I was happy!

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Sounds like they were smart to change the menu back. Now I'm anxious to try Garden Grill real soon! :)

Two weeks ago the menu did include roasted turkey as part of the meat choices.

Yes, they have changed the menu back. We ate there our last trip and it was very good and very filling. They even gave us a to go box since it was our last meal of the day and we mentioned we were heading back to OKW for the night...smjj

What are the new desserts? TIA

We went 2 weeks ago and it was yummy! Pretty much back to normal and I have it booked for my next 2 trips. Now if they would just bring back the apple crisp......

I much preferred the new dessert platter which was made up of small portions of different desserts. I do not remember all of them off hand, brownies and cheesecake come to mind. I was told that they get their desserts from the Fountainview Bakery now. Yum!!

Thanks! That sounds great!

I'm definatly going to be making an ADR there, if that is where they get the desserts from. I spent a small fortune at Fountainview last trip on pastries. That is one of my favorite places at Epcot, to get a snack, and then watch the fountain.

GG was hands down the best meal we had on last months trip. The turkey was fantastico and there was some sort of cranberry sauce on it. Not at all like the holiday cranberry sauce we're familiar with= this was just good.

here's a pic of the dessert platter- there was something lemony, a brownie, pecan pie and some sort of cheesecake It was delicious!!!!!
