Garden Grill breakfast with only peanut allergy?

Has anyone had breakfast at GG with only a nut allergy? I was frustrated when we visited for dinner and their allergy menu doesn't distinguish between nuts and dairy, so they were trying to eliminate half the menu on our visit (no potatoes or mac & cheese) to accommodate a nut allergy. This was quite different than my experience at other disney locations. I've seen the allergy menu online and it is the same for breakfast. Trying to figure out if it will be worth our time if they can't distinguish. Particularly if the sticky bun bake will be an option for us, and if they are going to try to make us eat gluten free -- if that's the case we will likely just pass.

Hi, no answer for you but can you tell me what you mean they don't distinguish between "nuts and dairy" and by your title and then question can I assume they don't distinguish between peanut and tree nut?

No, that isn't correct. Generally, most restaurants (including at disney in my experience) will tell you what to avoid if you have a tree nut allergy, what to avoid if peanut, what to avoid if dairy, what to avoid if gluten. and they are generally different things. At garden grill, you get one menu where they tell you what will eliminate ALL of those allergens, without distinguishing. This doesn't work for us. When we had dinner, they were telling us we could not have mac & cheese and mashed potatoes, because they contain dairy and gluten. We have no issue with those allergens, only peanuts. And frankly, I don't want to avoid gluten because the substitute often is not nearly as good. lumping all allergens together creates an overly restrictive menu, and we are already restricted enough with peanut. So just trying to figure out what is a tree nut/peanut only issue to decide whether breakfast is worth our time.

iew that is stinky. I totally get what you are saying, just because you can't eat peanuts does not mean you also have to avoid dairy, gluten, soy, shelfish and whatever other common allergies there are and would leave you with very little choice. It COULD be though that they do not have a way to prevent cross contamination of allergens in their kitchen and that is why they lump it all together - they have one clean area where NO allergens are present. A friend of mine's son had a reaction to something he ate in epcot once and I'm wondering if it was at this restaurant. I should ask her. I don't remember where it was only that it was Epcot because she was describing the paramedics coming to the front gate.

When we went, we had a great experience. My girls both have peanut allergies. They did not have any of the cinnamon roll, but were brought a platter identical to the one my husband and I had....but theirs was all peanut safe!

Thank you! This is what I've been trying to figure out. I don't want to waste my time going if we have to miss the good stuff, but my son loves Chip & Dale and this is the one restaurant in all of disney he asked to return to this year.
