Does anyone know anything about this restaurant? I made my ADRs and this one was not booked up at all. They had several times left. Is it any good. We want to eat with Mickey. Should I do Chef Mickey's instead?

You'll get Mickey, Pluto, and Chip & Dale. We like GG. The food is family style and the flank steak and cat fish are very good. It's also a lot quieter than CM and you aren't packed in like sardines.

Great place to eat. Lots of character interaction. Some of the food is "grown" in Epcot.

We ate our Christmas 2006 dinner at Garden Grill, and it was very good. I like that it is served family style. We enjoyed the meal, and the character interaction was good also.

Some of the food is "grown" in Epcot.
They really torture that "fact". When we took the "Behind The Seeds" tour in 2001 I asked about that line in the "Living With The Land" tour where they state that food grown there is used in the restaurants in Epcot. Our guide said that the only thing she knew of that they used was for garnishes on some of the serving plates. I also doubt that LWTL produces enough of any single type of fruit or veggie to make it even worthwhile to try and use in the Epcot restaurant system.... "Hey, here's a couple potatoes we dug up today over at The Land... you guys want them for anything???"

We ate there last Oct and it was good. The character was great and the kids loved it:thumbsup2 I would try it, especially if you have kids.:yay:

We went there and it was great!! Make sure you do two things:

1. Ask them about the Micky cucumbers! They should bring one to your table. ::MickeyMo ::

2. If your close to your aniversary, ask to be re-hitched! It's so much fun! Be prepared to kiss for a llllloooonnnngggg time! :love2: ;)

Have fun!!

This is a must for our family! :yay: The food is really good, served hot to your table, not sitting on a buffet for however long. You seem to have more space in this restaurant which is a bonus. :thumbsup2 Since there are less people you get more time to interact with the characters. My DD's favourite memories of Disney come from there. Chip sat down in the booth with us and played tic tac toe with her. Unfortunately I think that chipmunk had been sampling too much of that yummy food and got stuck in the booth. They had to have 2 handlers and a waiter come and pull him out! :rotfl:

Another time Dale came over and fed my little one (2 at the time). She hadn't wanted to eat but cleaned her plate for Dale! :cutie: You just can't buy memories like that!

Good food, lots of space, more time with the characters - sounds like a winner to me! :dance3:

We really enjoyed it, and so did our DD. We're definitely going to go back there again. Our DD keeps asking when.

We all really enjoyed lunch there last year- the food was tasty and we had a large amount of character interaction. We sat on the top- but next time I would ask to sit on the lower level (the booths) they looked alot more cozy than the top floor tables.

It's my favorite character meal! I go there often with another friend so much that the hostesses as the desk recognize us!

My family and I ate here Aug 06. We didn't like the food at all. Character interaction was a 10+ excellent, but I wouldn't go back only because we didn't enjoy the meal.

My family (Dh, dd and I) ate at Garden Grill in May during our trip. I hadn't made very many ADR's for character meals because I wasn't sure if my dd would like characters so once we got to Disney and she loved them - I was scrambling to try and get more character meals in. The GG was able to get us in so I was happy. Overall, I give the experience a B-. The food was edible but not very good quality. The character interaction was *ok*. Service was good, I was impressed that they brought a kids meal even though we weren't paying for my dd (age 2). They even brought her a cupcake to decorate for dessert.

We're eating there next week!

Does anyone know what the special kids' dessert is??

It used to be my favorite restaurant at WDW but the last two years have been very disappointing! The steak was okay, but the fish was mushy! Yuk!! We will probably skip it next trip as there are much better restaurants elsewhere. What a shame! The atmosphere is great and Victor was one of our favorite servers.

Great time!

Call Chip and Dale "Alvin." Our server suggested it and it was hilarious.

We enjoyed the GG. The kids want to go back. They call it the revolving restaurant because it turns slowly as you eat - very cool! We had lots of character interaction. Food was good, not gourmet - but plenty of it and service was great. We would recommend it - especially since you have young children, it is memorable. As a matter of fact it is on our kids :must list" for our Dec. trip.

We had a good meal there last year and the characters are great! We have an ADR for our upcoming trip too!:thumbsup2

I thought the food was very good.. we loved the flank steak and the potato casserole and got more of each. And the biscuits were yummy as well! The odd squash things I could do without. Its not Le Cellier, but what is??

The character interactions were great here, they all came around twice to play with us!

We did this one in March '07 and are very torn about it for March '08. Our DD, 11 yrs, LOVED it. I feel it was the best character interaction of all our character meals and we do quite a few of them. But the food was really bad. So we can't decide do we go back just because of the character interaction? The service wasn't all that great and I think the theming/setting really isn't very good. But I cannot stress how good the character interaction was. We have some of the most awesome Chip and Dale (DD's favorite) pictures from this meal. We saw all the characters at least twice. Which shows how slow the service was. The meat was dried out and overcooked.
