Has anyone gone to the Garden Grill after doing the Behind the Seeds tour? I thought it might be fun for the girls, but then I got to thinking that maybe they wouldn't want to eat the fish that they just saw in the tanks??? (Although, actually they probably wouldn't eat the fish anyway, but it would still be on the plate.)

Any experience with this? Did your kids find it fun or difficult? (My kids are 17 & 14 so are old enough to put 2 and 2 together.)

Funny, I was just talking to a friend about this a little while ago :rotfl:

The food served at the GG is not from the Land. Maybe at one time it was, but now the only thing that actually comes from there are the tomatoes. :rotfl2:

We dined at the GG twice on our last trip (my boys loved it so much, they requested we go back). My DH got to talking with our waiter about the salad. It was so good and so fresh, we assumed it was from the garden below. He said it would be impossible for all the food to come from there, they serve so many meals daily.

I would go it's a fun dinner. We HAVE to ride the boat after the meal, it's become tradition for us. It's just fun to see the scenary from both the restaurant and down below on the boat.

Not Garden Grill, but still funny. I posted this story a few years ago right after it happened. We were at Coral Reef sitting in that first row of booths (first row back from the tanks). There was a foreign family next to us. When the waiter came to get their order, the dad looked at the menu for a minute, then pointed to one of the flat shaped fish in the aquarium and said, "I want that one please". I thought the waiter was going to choke. The man kept insisting for a few minutes before he finally relented, glanced at his menu again, then looking back at the tank, asked if they had the turtle on the menu then.:rotfl::rotfl:

Oh. I thought I had read somewhere that the catfish came from the tanks there.

I think it would be ok then if we did it. The girls probably wouldn't have a problem with it then. I mean they know the fish were alive SOMEWHERE but to think they were eating a fish that they had just seen might have been too much.

Kind of like Red Lobster where you can pick the lobster from the tank. Everytime I look in that tank while waiting to be seated, the lobsters are all crowded at the back of the tank looking like they are saying "Don't pick me! Don't pick me!"
