Does anyone have a quick reference site that can give me some good suggestions on starting new gardens RE: size, color, etc?

Also, my mom told me there is some method of stacking bulbs so that in one little area you can have, say, snow crocus then daffodils, then tuplips each blooming, one after the other? I didn't quite understand the logistics of this, and she's never done it and wasn't clear on what she was saying.

Thanks!!!! Nice forum!

Hi gunnersmom, and Welcome! :)

I can help you with your second question. Last year we had a post on layering bulbs, I think that's what your Mom is talking about.

Click on the link ..Layering Bulbs ...and you'll find some info on how this is done. :)

Hopefully, another Bud can help your with your first question, as my DH is impatiently waiting for me, we are off to the ...garden centre!! :)

Kim :)

BTW - you'll have to click on the other link (Here's the dirt) after the link on this post, to get some photos and info.

I have no idea what all the weird > alt 0 stuff is....lol..:)

Thanks so much! Thats exactly what I was looking for. My husband just made me two new beds, and I would like to try this. I'll do it in the fall, and have to wait a full year!

Gunnersmom, I'm glad that was the right info!! :)

Here's a site that might help you with your planning and designing.

Panning & Design

I hope you'll come back and let us know what you've decided to do. :)

LOL...:o that's supposed to say....Planning and Design! :)
