In the process of buying a new dishwasher, sink, etc. it made sense to replace our 8 year old Kitchen Aid disposal with a new one. The average price for an replacement was well in the $300 range so I figured that if I were going to spend that much money, I would check consumer reports so make sure my money was well spent. The Waste King L8000 got the best reviews and was rated higher than the rest. Best Buy wanted $229 for it. I found it brand new on Amazon, sent directly from Waste King for $104. I got free shipping, no tax. That was 6 weeks ago. The price went up I see today to $129. Its still a great deal. The reviews from users said it was noisy. I find it a lot quieter than my Kitchen Aid was.
