Ok, I'm a first time yard-saler (I swore I didn't have the patience to do this, but my MIL and SIL are doing it with me and the money goes to our upcoming trip to Disney...:thumbsup2). I have some newer items, and some well-used items (that's what happens when you have three kids). Those of you who have bought maternity clothes at garage sales...what do you consider reasonable prices?

Thanks, everyone!

If you are interested in pricing try your local Goodwill, that is your main competition. If someone knows they can get it for $4 there they aren't going to pay you $5 no matter how much you feel it's worth or how much you paid for it.

Clothes don't sell well where I live so it just depends. I would say max $1.00

Same here. Last year I tried selling mine, including GAP that was barely worn, and I was getting like $1. I ended up selling it at work (We have classified ads) for $50 a tote!

I once put up a Hugo Boss sweater in a yard sale, worth about $200 and in perfect condition just too small for me. It sat there all day with a $1 price tag on it and I still have it.

clothes at yard sales here typically go for $3-5 for "stuff a bag" using grocery type bags... and trust me, people can really stuff a lot of stuff into one of those bags! LOL!

you might be better off doing a craigslist ad for them, using the $50/tote as a guideline (depending on the quality/condition/etc)... or, if you need a tax write-off, donate them to a women's shelter or a "birthright" type organization that helps unwed mothers-to-be...

I would just donate it or sell it on ebay as a lot. You won't get much at all. I would also say $2 max per item if that. I know it stinks!

I bought 60 pcs of maternity clothes on CL for $75 and was thrilled. However, I am a plus size, and the clothes are VERY hard to come by. (Guess us gals are not supposed to get pregnant.)

When I am done with them in a few weeks, I am putting them up piece-by-piece on ebay. It will be a TON of work, but the individual used pieces I bought on ebay I paid in the range of $15-20 inc shipping. If I put them up starting at 99 cents, I believe there is no listing fee.
