Garage parking near BUF airport

We are flying out of BUF and I am trying to organize parking for our December trip back to The World. Based on weather history, I would prefer covered parking near the Airport. The airport garage will cost about $160 which is way too much!

Does anyone know of an alternative parking garage near by...either at a hotel or a regular lot?

Nothing I can think of and we have parked at a lot of the hotels and across the street at the Parking Spot. For the $80 savings I could scrape my car.

We have also many times stayed in the terminal with my DS and our luggage. DH goes and retrieves the car while everyone else stays warm.

It's not even really about scraping the ice off the car...I just don't like the idea of my car sitting for 5 days in sub-zero weather and not being started or running at all. At least with a garage it is somewhat protected from the elements.

It's 5 days. Your car will be fine. And basically your going in December. We aren't even guaranteed to have bad weather. We usually dont come then. It's usually later in the winter.

My grandparents for 30 years drove one car to Florida while the other sat in their driveway. It maybe got used by us every couple of weeks just because of the tires and brakes. They NEVER had an issue in 30 years. 5 days......I usually leave my car for 7-10 days without issue.

I cant think of any that are covered garages in the area but I do know what you mean, I remember one year coming back from 2 weeks away in March and it was sooo cold and we were concerned about the car starting, but it did. Also, we all know it can be a clear day here and the lake effect can make it a blizzard at BUF!

Really, I wasn't asking for an opinion on whether my car would be fine or not. I was simply reaching out to others who may have a stronger knowledge of the BUF airport area than I do.

Clearly it is a personal choice where or in what conditions you leave your car. You are, apparently, fine leaving it out in weather that can be very unpredictable. I prefer not to do that. In theory it could snow for the 5 days we are away.

I appreciate all responses and I will continue to look for covered parking.
