Garage door opener remote washed--what to do

DH had my GDO remote in his pocket and I washed it. Is there any way to get it to work again?
If not, how do I buy just a remote?
It is a Chamberlain from Sam's Club.

Put it in the freezer and that should take out all the moisture. You might have to re program it.

Sears sells universal garage door openers.

I did not put it in freezer but took apart and wiped dry. I let air dry a few minutes and as I put it together, heard garage door go up. What a great sound!
