Hi,

Can you help.

DS9 and DD6 both have GBA SP's, DS4 used DS9's old GBA. DH does not like DS4 using the old GBA because as it is not back lit and the screen is hard to see. Am thinking of buying him GBA SP in Orlando and wondered whether we would be able to use the US Charger to charge up our UK GBA SP's whilst stateside. Had discounted bringing the UK ones as we did not have the means to charge them in the US once the battery packs ran out. Or will we need to buy a transformer to charge the uk ones over there and another transformer to charge the US one over here.

Confused yet.

LOL Kaz!!

Cant answer your questions, cos I dont really know what you're on about!!!

But I was wondering whether buying GBA SP games out there will play on our consoles back here in the UK?

Is my question easier to understand?? LOL!!

Kaz - I can't help with your question unfortunately (though there was quite recently a big thread about it I can't seem to find it, sorry) but Lorraine yes, most definitely the games bought in the USA are fine for UK Gameboys. And they are about half price!

Hi,

My DD bought an SP last October. There are several choices for charging up the battries. It comes with the standard US adapter, but you can buy a UK adapter in US or UK, it is about $10. Or you could buy a charging adapter that charges through a USB port in your PC and doubles up as a in car charger, through the cigerrett lighter. We bought this for about $8. All the shops that sell SP's will know what you are talking about when you ask. Except Walmart! We did buy our SP from Walmart as it was the cheapest, but bought our charger from EB at the Florida Mall. There is also a shop in Mall 1 of Belz that sell the adapters etc.

It all works fine and there has been no problems with it.

For anyone who is interested, spoke to DH last night whilst he was at work, as you know we already have UK SP's but want another, he confirmed that the US charger that comes with the SP can be used to charge our UK ones whilst in the states and vice versa, our uk ones can charge the US one when we are home. Its all in the charger apparently and not in the sp itself. Its a different kettle of fish when you are talking about using a hairdryer for eg, you could just use a plug adaptor but the hairdryer would work less efficientlyin the us because they user lesser current than us, however you could not use a us hairdryer here because our voltage is to high and it would blow it.

Hope that makes sense.
