When I lived at my old house I used to be addicted to Game Show Network and they had some pretty good original game shows like The Chase Catch-21 and Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck but Catch-21 and The Chase were my two most watched shows and I liked Catch-21 because it was fun and because of Alfonso Ribeiro and The Chase because I had a big crush on Mark Labbett and also liked the smart gameplay too. But now when you look at it it seems like Game Show Network has gone downhill because their new original game shows aren't not as great as they used to be. I remember seeing Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck every morning and thought it was a clever remake of Press Your Luck and the show's host Todd Newton was so fun and cheerful. But what really made me quit seeing Game Show Network was when they cancelled The Chase and why they cancelled it in 2016 is a mystery to me. Because it was a huge hit for Game Show Network and was very popular and made Mark Labbett a huge celebrity for Game Show Network. What I think Game Show Network needs is a second game show channel to have reruns of retro game shows similar to what Buzzr has and it would help Game Show Network improve themselves a lot

I don't know why Game Show Network went downhill but when they first debuted in 1994 they were known for showing reruns of game show classics such as Let's Make A Deal with Monty Hall Split Second Match Game Password and other game show favorites but lately when you turn on Game Show Network now they are obsessed with reruns of Steve Harvey's Family Feud and I never figured out why Steve Harvey's Family Feud is a huge hit for Game Show Network. But as I said in my opening post what really made me so MAD was when Game Show Network cancelled The Chase and I couldn't figure out why in the world they did it in the first place because it was a smash hit since it debuted in 2013 and scored mega ratings for Game Show Network yet The Chase reruns still are a hit on Game Show Network today. Another show I can't figure out why it even existed was The American Bible Challenge and this show could've easily belonged on the Odyssey Channel but I think it became a hit was because of Jeff Foxworthy and like The Chase got cancelled too soon as well
Do you watch Game Show Network too and what is your take on it?

We have both Game Show Network and Buzzr here. I often have one or the other on as background noise when doing meal preparation. So I mainly see them at some point between the hours of 4:30 and 6:30 pm.

I am not not always sure at first if a show is new or old. But think most of the ones I have seen turn out to be older reruns. I don’t really know what new, if any, shows either of those networks still produces.

But I did see one recently called Master Minds. It features Mark Labett as one of the Master Minds. I forget which network carried it, and am not sure if the shows are new or not. But you might be interested in that one since you enjoyed seeing Labett in The Chase.

We watch GSN and as the previous poster said we really like they brought back Master Minds. Other favorites are Cash Cab, America Says, and Chain Reaction. A new game show started not too long ago I forget the name but it looks good unfortunately conflicts with when Jeopardy is shown in our area so have not gotten to watch it yet.

I was disappointed when game shows were replaced by talk sows on the regular networks. I do enjoy the GSN but haven't watched much television lately so not familiar with the current lineup.

I also watched Cash Cab reruns on Game Show Network because it was fun and I had a big crush on Ben Bailey but I remember when they got to air reruns of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire both the Regis Philbin Meredith Veira and Chris Harrison versions and it seemed to be a smart choice. But what I think happened with The Chase was that Game Show Network overpromoted it too much and once the novelty wore out the ratings went weak. But why they chose to air Shop Til You Drop reruns instead of Supermarket Sweep reruns is beyond me

I use to love to watch the old match game and password. Gene Rayburn and Alan Luddin. I also love supermarket sweep because I'm positive I'm not the only one yelling at the tv to get the diapers and dog food.

Is Master Minds that show hosted by Brooke Burns who also hosted The Chase? I heard about it because Brooke Burns is one of my favorite game show hosts and I have yet to see Mark Labbett on it. Is he still great on it? I wish Game Show Network would let him host a game show solo. That would be so cool. Did you also like Whammy too as well?

I liked when Game Show Network first came out and they had original game shows mixed in with old ones like WinTuition, Inquisition, Cram. They also had kid themed game shows mixed in there like Wheel 2000 and Jep! which were cool and would let all demographics watch the station.
I feel like GSN (they don't even call themselves Game Show Network anymore) today shows a lot less of a mix of shows and keeps airing episodes of the same shows over and over.

Pluto TV, a free streaming app, has a Game Show Channel with tons of old game shows. I've been watching vintage Price is Right episodes from the 1980s.

Yes, that’s the show. I always liked the rapport between Brooke and Labbett. I haven’t seen too many, but Labbett wasn’t even on all of the ones I have seen.

The format of the show is three contestants compete, narrowing down to two then one for the final. The three master minds do likewise. Then the final contestant and final master mind compete.

Some episodes Labbett doesn’t even get through to the second round, let alone the final. So overall he doesn’t seem to dominate as much as he seemed to on The Chase.

I was a Press Your Luck fan when it was first on, and still see repeats of that at times. I have also seen some Whammy reruns.

My favorite part of Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck was the Double Whammies and I thought they were funny. I actually discovered Press Your Luck while waiting to watch a Disney movie on Disney Channel and I saw that Game Show Network had Whammy and I saw an episode and would watch it every morning since when I lived in my old house. Todd Newton was a funny host and I wonder why ABC didn't choose him to host Press Your Luck instead of Elizabeth Banks because although Elizabeth is fun Todd Newton could've been chosen. I was looking at Game Show Network's lineup and saw that they have teamed up with People Magazine to create People Puzzler and it seems to be a hit and also they have another show called Tug Of Words. So it tells me that Game Show Network has improved itself a little

I think The Chase switched to ABC. The latest episode I have in my DVR says Feb 16th, so it seems to be on break, but keep an eye on the listings for Thursdays at 10:00pm. (It says Alaska Daily right now, but it may be back after that wraps for the season.)
