Game Boy Advance and games stolen from our room!

We just recently made our first trip to DL, and my 3 y/o's hand-me-down game boy advance was stolen right from our room!! We also had 2 Nintendo DS's right next to it, but they were left thank goodness. The worst part is, this was our youngest's game system, with games in the case that were great for his age. He loved to play it anytime we would travel.
Anyone looking to sell a gameboy advance anytime soon? Also looking for some age appropriate games we lost like George, Dora, or Franklin.

I am so sorry that this happened to you. Just yesterday I read a review of one of the value resorts where a man said his electric razor was stolen from his room as well. I can't believe this is happening.

I do not have any games, but my oldest did have a Gameboy advanced before he got a DSi for Christmas. I have not seen it around in quite some time, but I am going to clean their rooms this weekend. It does not have a charger, but if I can find it you are more than welcome to it if you like.

Weird how they took the older system and not the newer ones? Did you report it to the hotel?

We have a Gameboy Advance but my girls still play it, I'll see if they want to get rid of it. I don't know that I have any games he might want tho, most of our games are girl games.

I notice the OP said DisneyLand (California). Was this a Disney hotel (Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier, or Grand Californian) or was it an outside hotel?

I don't generally consider myself a "paranoid" person, but I always lock my electronics & any money/CCs I'm not taking to the parks in the in-room safe.

That's what I do. It isn't worth the problems so in the safe they go.

That pretty low to steal a kids game. Did you ask at the hotel to see if may have been "misplaced?" You could try checking with gamestop or other used games places for replacement games (or ebay lots). Since they are so old, they shouldn't be terribly expensive.

We use the room SAFE for everything while on vacation....

I think we learned a very good lesson about using the safe during this trip too. Guess it was worth the $1.50/day if we would've still had our game boy.

I'm wondering if they were looking for the games to re-sell. Some of the old ones are actually quite valuable as little kids love them and they are hard to find.

OP - so sorry for your misfortune! I know that Gamestop has their Gameboy games 75% off right now. Check out the used games for those titles and you should be able to replace them cheap!!

So sorry this happened to you and I bet your son was just crushed. The hotel you stayed at charges for the use of the safe? That is ridiculous!!! Wish I had one to help you out with.

that is horrible thing to do ---- you could get an r4 card and a second hand ds to replace it --then sites such as romulation would soon sort out games .

You can have it....hope it works, it was in the DS. If your initial one falls through, let me know. I doubt my kids will ever use this again (they all have DS's and DSI's).
