Does anyone know if either Chick-Fil-A or McDonald's has gallons of sweet tea available for purchase? We are headed to WDW soon and I'd like to have sweet tea to put in my reusable water bottles and refillable mugs. Florida's nonsweet tea is icky (LOL)! :lmao:

I don't know about either of those, but I know Publix here in TN has sweet tea by the gallon and it is very good. I actually drink their Diet Sweet Tea but they have regular and a couple of other flavors as well. I would assume they sell it at the Publixes in Florida as well.

Chick-Fil-A sells gallons of sweet tea. They also have unsweet, lemonade, and diet lemonade (my favorite).

McDonald's, Chick-fil-a, Pals, and Bojangles all sell sweet tea by the gallon.

Red Diamond Sweet Tea is really good and you can get it at Wal-Mart and I think Super Target which they have in Orlando. I also like the Publix Sweet Tea.

Red Diamond has an expiration date on it. I haven't noticed if others have an expiration date on it.

Mrs. Winners sells gallons of it, too, if you have any in your area.

NEWS FLASH: All Sweet Tea is icky! JMHO, but correct.

I buy the gallon of Arizona Iced Tea at Publix. They're the only place I've found that carries the diet version (made with Splenda) which is also caffeine free. They have all the other permutations as well (regular sweet, diet with caffeine, flavored, etc.).

Chick-Fil-A sells their sweet tea by the gallon here in Florida. I don't think McDonalds does. We buy TG Lee Sweet Tea at Sweetbay supermarket. It's not my absolute favorite, but it's pretty good and cheap :).

I've checked the MC D's right outside of Hotel Plaza Blvd and on Vine St DO not sell it by the gallon at least not in the last 6 moths as I haven't asked again. The Chick-Fil-A up the street on Apopka-Vineland, however, does. These are the closest to DD.

Publix is pretty good also and they sell it by the pint so if you want to try it before you buy a week's worth.

What area are you staying? check zip code 32821 and call some of the places you may want to purchase from and they can tell you directly.

I am sorry but you are absolutely WRONG. This is not an opinion, it is pure unadulterated fact. Sweet Tea is ICKY! I was at IHOP the other day and my son's friend ordered sweet tea (I don't think he knew what it was, just heard sweet and figured it would be yummy). When it came he told me "I think they made a mistake, and put the pancake syrup in my cup". I tasted it and he wasn't far from the truth.

I can't imagine being in the heat of WDW and drinking sweet tea. That much sugar will just make you more dehydrated -- you'll pass out.

Keep in mind that a lot of grocery store sweet tea has high fructose corn syrup in it instead of just sugar, which makes it taste not quite right. Harris Teeter has excellent sugar-sweetened tea, but I'm not sure if it's sold in gallons. It's in the deli area instead of the juice area and is much more expensive than the HFCS versions.

All three of those fast food places have sweet tea gallons here, so you should be able to find some.

You drink one BADLY made cup and now you're the expert....:confused3

I drink it almost everyday. I make it (green and black) with and without sugar. If I based my tea on the crap sold in most restaurants I'D never drink it either.

No, I've taste plenty -- I love ice tea (the kind where you add your own sweetener, as well as some bottled brands that are sweetened but not "sweet") and when sweet tea first began to spread outside the south I often got served it before wait staff realized it's a love/hate thing and started to ask.

I included that one incident because I thought it was a pretty apt description of what ALL sweet tea tastes like.

Gold Peak makes an EXCELLENT sweetened ice tea and it comes in 1/2 gallons. My grocery store can hardly keep it on the shelves. It is usually stocked in the refrigerated orange juice section. That way you could get a few bottles and keep some unopened. They also used cane sugar for sweetener and not HFCS which is why it probably tastes better.

I love Chick-fil-a tea. I drink unsweet now and I use Truvia to sweeten it but I used to drink gallons of their sweet tea.

If you get a gallon, ask them for cups/lids/straws. Their cups seem to keep everything cold for so long.

Enjoy!

I'm afraid, if I got a gallon of McDonald's Sweet Tea... I'd drink it all myself! :lovestruc Ohh, I love that stuff, and haven't had any since I went on this "lifestyle change".

I am a true southerner, I make sweet tea al the time for my friends, I agree with the above pp, all sweet tea is nasty, I don't see how anyone drinks the stuff. By the way, my kids love it, but I think it is disgusting.
