We did the Galley tour on our 5 night double dip last year on the Dream. It definitely wasn't listed in the navigator. I only knew about it since someone mentioned it to me at the adult pool.
Go to guest services. Wasn't in navigator on our most recent sailing--our server mentioned it to us. It was interesting, but as noted above a) hard to hear and b) underwhelming for me. I think that seeing the galley at full speed with stations occupied, etc. would have been cool. It wasn't that, though. It was a bunch of empty stations, siippery floors, loud noises and hard-to hear narration.
Agree with most others. Galley tour wasn't listed ahead of time; however, we always check with Guest Services as soon as we hit the ship, and on our last cruise, the tour was mentioned. While it was mildly entertaining, truly it wasn't as informative as those you see on a travelogue video. You move quickly through mostly empty kitchens, and our guide discouraged pictures and video (the latter of which I took surreptitiously even though it now seems boring). It was loud and lacked any real purpose other than to walk through. Took less than 15 minutes. It was cool to see how large the galleys are and to see the system set up to ensure prompt service with the correct meals to the appropriate tables. Would we do it again? No.
