After many attacks, some not so pleasant ones, that took me to the ER twice I finally bit the bullet and had it removed. I picked DD up from confircamp last Wednesday and had a donut on the way home-should have known that was a bad idea as I was not feeling great to begin with and made it home to drop her off and head off to the ER, where I promptly passed out when they put me on the stretcher. By the time the morphine hit and the attack had subsided some I was ready to head back home.....they were on to me however and said I had done that trick a week ago this time it was coming out! I put up a valiant effort to see if they would allow me to go home and come back tomorrow for the surgery but nope they were on to me and had hyped me up on more morphine and said I could not drive and if I did go home it would be several weeks---while he was "gently" feeling my gall bladder---before they could fit me in for surgery! Hmph! So 24 hours later and 10 gallons of antiobiotics later they wheeled me into the OR where I thought I was a giant in the land of the little people-could have been the morphine/valium cocktail they had given me-as they told me to breathe in the "oxygen" I looked up and imagined the Cinderella's Castle and waited for the smell of that yucky anesthesia and next thing I knew they had an oxygen mask on me and I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach by a horse. They were gracious enough to allow me to go home the next day where I promptly slept for the next I dunno 24 hours or so.....I am officially on the mend although those darn staples hurt a tad and DH keeps making me laugh which is hurting a bit but all and all feeling much much better! Missed you guys and hope all is well. Pixie dust to all.....
