The Photo 870 does a wonderful job of printing photos. If you printed it from an email what was the quality of the image to begin with.

If you use the Epson papers you will love your prints. People always remark on the wonderful quality of the photos.

Just play with the settings and use a good quality image.

The image was from a digital photo sent via email. I just hit the print button and when it came out, the color had too much yellow/green. My DH said we may need more ink???
I'll fool around with it some more.

We have 3 Canon Digitals now and probably shold look into a printer.

imamicki2, you need to go to the utility menu of your printer and run a nozzle check and make sure that all the inks are printing.

I own Epson, HP and Canon printers. My personal favorite is my Canon i850s, which prints gorgeous photos on Canon 4 x 6 borderless paper. It is about 1 year old so there are newer and probably better models available. But it is fast, affordable, has separate, easy to load ink tanks and does a super job on text as well as graphics and photos. I repeat, the finish on Canon Photo Paper Pro is the best on the market, IMHO. (Check out Buy.com
for a great price and user reviews.)

The Epsons do a wonderful job with borderless printing. Separate cartridges are not necessarily the best thing to have. Typically when printing photos the colors are used about the same. When buying separate cart. it's not like you are getting a lot more ink but you have to pay for the housing that holds the ink.

The photo printers on the market are very good these days so you can't go wrong with any of them as long as you get the photo printer version.
