GAH. Can't pick a stupid hotel!!!!

Getting really frustrated so will someone just tell me what to do please

Basically three choices of hotel. We want to stay on I-Drive or VERY short walking distance from it as we use the buses.

1. Rosen Inn @ Pointe Orlando. About £40/night. Gets good reviews but I'm concerned about a) doors opening to the outside and b) that it'll be mobbed by children.

2. Best Western Orlando Gateway - again, about £40/night. Decent enough reviews but not in the heart of I-Drive (but close to the theme parks). Also a bit of a walk from I-Drive, can't remember how far now.

3. SOMETHING ELSE!!!

Can't help much, its last place I look for hotels, we don't like Idrive but if I can't decide on a hotel my solution is wait until something comes along, if I am not sure I take that as a sign to wait.
I have been looking for flights for next month but its 2 stops each way, I am undecided so waiting another few days, if they go we are not meant to go.

How many in your party? What are your musts, and must nots?

2 adults. Must be safe, free-wifi and easy walking distance to I-Drive.

Must not be noisy. We do spend time in the rooms.

We had 4 nights at rosen inn pointe orlando December 2009 (was quality inn plaza)

Would stay there again no hesitation. Was the best of the motel style hotels we have stayed in Florida.

Location is great - walgreens opposite, millers ale house opposite, lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Room was spotless - housekeeping excellent. Was fully renovated 2009.

It does back on to I4 but we had a room i drive side and were fine.

We stayed there as we got a fab rate via travelzoo.com.

Thanks for this. Boyfriend is gunning for this one! I think if I shop around I can get it down to about £35/night (Best Western down to about £38). We tend to go to that area for a number of restaurants. I stayed in the Econolodge next door a few years back on a *very* budget trip (I think I paid £19/night for a double room!); it was worth it for the location...

Did the fact that the rooms open to the outside (motel-style) bother you? Was there a safe in the room?

Motel style didn't bother - but usually stay in motel rooms in US. I can't remember a lot of people walking past - we were on an upper floor. Block D? Across carpark from sizzler.

DH says there was a safe - I can remember the fridge, microwave, free internet.

We moved to all star movies afterwards and it was a step down in terms of the room.

If you have stayed at econolodge you know that end of I drive - I prefer that end and have never felt unsafe there.

Can highly recommend embassy suites on I drive which is in the area you like! Its a suite hotel so you have seperate louunge and bedroom so good space and fantastic atrium and all american buffet breakfast not sure how it compares on price as did a package, also buses stop right outside hope this helps.
