GAD for FL residents?

Can I upgrade to a MYW 5 day ticket at the Fl resident rate? Not sure but thought that the Fl resident tickets had to be purchased in advance. Thanks for any help.

The GAD ticket may be upgraded to any ticket you are eligible to purchase.

And for information purposes, the only Resident ticket which requires an advance purchase is the discounted one day ticket. Anything else, including a non-discounted one day ticket, may be purchased at any ticket window.

Are you going during Easter? Meaning the week before or the week after? Are you going by May 25? Reasons I ask is other tickets available. Before buying a 5 day ticket I'd buy the Seasonal Pass, its good for 1 yr but it does have blackout dates. Or if your trip is not during March 27 - April 9 but will be completed by May 35th, I'd think about getting the 4 day dream pass, sure its only for 4 days but its only $20 with the GAD voucher. The 5 day FL MYW ticket is $201 and the Seasonal Pass is $249 (just $48 more for the year plus it also has parkhopping) they will deduct the value of the 1 day ticket when you upgrade. Just wanted to let you know of more options.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately we are going on march 28th. so the black out dates are in affect. Thought we would get the 5 day MYW with no Exp, and the water park option. We will only use 3 or 4 days, thought we could save the options to use during the summer. We only live about and 11/2 hours away.
