GAD Fastpass Exchange Central - Pixie Dust for Everybody!!

Got a GAD voucher you will be using for the FP option? Won't be using the full party size of 6? Here's your chance to share the magic....

Your voucher is good for the holder + up to 5 other people = 6 FPs

Two options:

1.) Find another GAD Fastpasser to share your vouchers with -- use one party's GAD voucher one day, use the other party's voucher another day = a bonus day of GAD FPs for everybody!!

2.) Sprinkle some pixie dust on some other DISer's day and share your passes with anyone willing to meet you at the gate before you redeem your voucher!

We were too late for GAD, they had already reached their max before we could volunteer! I would love to add our travelling party to the list of people willing to participate.

Our dates are December 10th to 13th (we arrive on the 10th, but won't be going to the park that day). Our group is 5. But we'd be happy with 2 or 5 FPs

May I ask what this GAD voucher is? I mean I know it has to do with the give a day deal, but I don't understand what the vouchers are for.

Once you signed up for the GAD program and completed your volunteer service, you received a voucher good for a 1 day 1 park admission.

But since some folks don't need admission to the parks, ie: they already have an AP or a multi-day pass, Disney also offered 2 other options to use the voucher on:

collectible pins
a special fastpass

The GAD fastpass is an enhanced version of a regular fastpass, so planaholic is trying to help folks maximize the value of the fastpass by sharing.

So true, IMO 2 GAD fastpasses are not equivalent to the value of a one day ticket. However, 6 seems a little more reasonable, plus the obvious - sharing is caring!

This is an interesting idea!

Please keep in mind that the CM needs to see all of the park tickets when s/he hands out the FP vouchers, so you all will need to meet at the ticket gates with tickets already in hand.

They will only distribute as many FP vouchers as there are tickets.

Please also note that you get the FP vouchers from the ticket booth. You then need to redeem those vouchers for the actual FP's inside the park.

We had a bit of a hassle from our CM when redeeming our vouchers in August. I could go into some gory details, but needless to say the CM demanded to see not only our tickets, but all 6 actual people with the tickets. It was not pretty as 4 of the ticket holders were small children sitting off in the shade with my DH!

From what I learned later, our experience was very unusual, and the CM's should only need to see the actual tickets.

Just be prepared with all of your tickets.

Thanks for the tip, camouseketeer! I was running under the assumption that all folks & tickets must be in attendance for the redemption. I feel I read that somewhere, but I'm not going to hunt down the answer right now.

For the purpose of this exchange w/ "friends who haven't met yet"....I'm suggesting ALL members of both parties meet up for the redemtion. I for one don't want this sharing experience to go sour for anyone who encounters a strict CM.

(Plus, I'm not sharing any FP with anyone who thinks they can sleep in and reap the benefits of my labor. A girl's gotta have standards. )

I have 4 GAD vouchers, and I'm thinking about sacrificing one for FP's instead of the discount off PH's. Seems like it would make more value sense if I could share the remaining passes for a full contingent of 6.

There is a GAD FAQ thread that talks about the FP Option, I will try and find it and come back here and post the link for you...

...but in short, each member of your party up to 6 ppl (the GAD voucher holder + 5 guests) will each get a GAD FP. However, in reality it is not a single FP, but a set of FPs that can be used on specified attractions.

The number of FPs per party member and what attractions those FPs are good for can vary depending on the crowd level/FP attractions open/etc. In general, it seems people are getting 3 FPs for Daisy attractions and 3 FPs for Donald attractions. Daisy vs. Donald is explained in the FAQ thread.

So, yes, if you have 4 people and you redeem 1 GAD Voucher for the FP option, your group (on most days) would get 12 FPs for Daisy rides and 12 FPs for Donald rides = 24 FPs. Not too shabby.

However, please note that if you only have 4 folks in your group, you could "adopt" 2 more people to be part of your group when you redeem the voucher and they would each get 6 FPs as well. That "sharing is caring" mentality is the purpose of this particular thread. Obviously, there are far fewer of us with the vouchers willing to "adopt" than those who would like to be "adopted".


Bottom line, how much are FPs worth to you? Are they worth $75 or whatever discount you would get the PH? For me, my company gave me a pretty good discount on my passes already - which couldn't be combined with a GAD voucher, so the FP only "cost" me $20. I would buy 6 FPs for $20, so it was a no brainer.

Most of what I read was on the WDW boards, so that is where I saw the FAQs. But things are a bit more complicated there because all FPS are only good for one park - so you have to stay put, unlike at DLR.
