Hello,
We are very much looking forward to our trip in 13 days to celebrate the end of my husband's chemo/radiation treatments!!! We had to cancel a trip when he was diagnosed, and now that treatments are over we are planning a Dream Disney Vacation with the entire extended family. There will be 11 of us in all.
Our youngest daughter has autism, we have always gotten her a GAC so that she has an alternate waiting area (which generally means they let us use the FP entrance) and so that she can use her stroller as a wheelchair. We have never had a problem with this and it has been a HUGE help. Honestly, I don't think our family could even consider a Disney vacation without a GAC. There are 5 of us, so it has always covered us all.
This time, since my husband is still very frail, is it ok to ask for a seperate card for him to have an alternate waiting option? Since chemo he is very sensitive to the sun and tires very easily. If it were only the five of us I wouldn't bother because we would usually stick together and my daughter's card would cover us all. But since we are traveling with 11 we might break up and go different ways. And, if all 11 of us are together, the pass only works for 5 at a time.
Any thoughts? We are very deliberate about being as open and honest regarding our needs, and really do not want to take advantage of our situations, but do want to make this the best trip ever despite all we are dealing with.
