We will need to get a GAC for our next trip. We are arriving on Tuesday and doing no parks that day just Downtown Disney. Can you get the GAC at Downtown Disney or only in the parks? On my last trip I got it at Hollywood Studios on my first day. Just wondering if we could get it Tuesday evening to save time the next AM at Animal Kingdom. Thanks!

As said before you can get them at any of the 4 theme parks. You can get them at the window location before the park opens, however there could potentially be a long line with people having ticket issues. If you get there early enough before park opening you could wait and then be ready to go when they open the gates. If you can't arrive earlier or find the line is too long, there probably won't be a line at the lobby location right at park opening.

Post 6 of that thread is about GACs (Guest Assistance Cards) and lists the in the park and at the park, but outside the gates locations of Guest Relations.

As was already mentioned, it has to be at one of the Theme Parks.
