Ok, I think I know the answer to this, I've been to Disney several times in the past few years. I've used GAC and had no problem in getting one.

BUT a friend.. (who just has to know more than me) :confused3 said Disney just changed its rules. Said I need a Doctors' note, or DD IEP, especially since DD disability is not seen. (aspergers, adhd, ocd...... ) I can't believe they changed the rules and I didnt know about it! Tell me it isn't true, I need to be ALWAYS right in Disney things!   :lmao: LOL... I've even helped her plan her meals and days.... :rolleyes1

Nope, you're right and your friend is wrong...

You don't need anything except your daughter with you

Unless they change the ADA law it is a violation to ask someone to prove a disability.

If you check on some other websites, some say that you need a doctor's note and provide a sample letter. That might be where your friend got her information.
They have never required a doctor's note and as Michigan wrote, the ADA does say that a person with a disability can't be required to provide proof of disability in order to get needed accomidations.

Thankyou Michigan and SueM.:goodvibes
I thought nothing had changed, but I get so nervous and want things to go right. It takes me a long time in planning, trying to figure how to do things with minimal meltdowns. The GAC makes things much easier for us. This way usually we will be in the park 2 or 3 hours and then out of there. Jenn really can't endure more than that. Without a GAC we wouldn't be able to vacation.

One more question...If you don't mind! Is Disney still giving out one GAC per vacation, or is it daily that we'd have to get one. We were in Universal this February and we had to get one each day.

Well have a great day! Pixie dust to all! :cloud9:

They were one GAC per trip when we were there in December, but with the recent trade of GACs on ebay, I don't know how they will change things.
