I know the GAC has been all but done away with but what do you suggest.... My friend is going this week and has a son who is severely vision impared. He has extremely limited vision and is sensitive to light. They were talking about rope drop to ride 7 dwarves. The crush of people is making me want to caution her not to try rope drop. Her son will not do well in that situation. Is there anything MK will do to help? Will a CM escort them? Do they do any type of assistance card anymore? Thanks in advance!

Don't do the Rope Drop, but, instead, get a FP+ for the Mine Train.

They can then arrive at the Mine Train in a leisurely manor.

1) I am a Concierge and not a Guest Services (GS) Rep.
2) I don't even play one on TV.
3) However, we have been told that vision is not a DAS-type problem.
4) But, you can always ask, especially stating his crowd issues.
5) And, sometimes even anxiety does qualify.
6) However, this can be a problem, as he still must wait in FP lines.
7) Check with GS when you get there.

You can read all about the Disability Access Service on the DISAbilities board. At best this willl allow him to wait somewhere else that is darker and less crowded, and then get into the FP line. It's probably not going to allow them immediate access to the ride.
