Hi- I haven't been down since 2004 and we are planning a trip this Dec. Can you use the GAC to enter Fantasmic? If so- how does it work and I would love to hear anyones experience with it. Thanks :)

Hello!

We use a GAC for our autistic DS(8) when we are at WDW. He cannot sit and wait for an hour for Fantasmic! to start, like many people do. We arrive about 15 min prior to the start and are permitted to sit in the reserved handicapped area at the very top (back) of the arena. Great seats and you don't get hit with the spray! Fantasmic! is one show where front and center is NOT a great seat! We like to stay close to an exit in case the loud noise or fire effects upset him and we need to leave early (never had to). Another perk is that we can beat the crowd out of the arena at the end.

Have fun!

We did not use our GAC for fantasmic we decided to use the dinner package. I know when we were there the handicapped area was very crowded. It worked the best for us. We had a little more space and just gave DD something to occupy her time. Oh now I remember she learned how to do the wave with the crowd. It is so exciting to see her participate more. DD is also autistic. Do not sit way down up front Fire and water can be wet and scarry especially for little ones.

I'm curious as to how you pulled this off? The times I have been to Fantasmic, all of the handicapped seats are taken 15 minutes before the show.

We are going to all parks and shows in Oct so I also want to know what to do with Fantasmic and all other shows we should see.

Thanks for the good help, April :Pinkbounc

We have a GAC for my mom and use it for handicapped seating at Fantasmic. She cannot do steps that well due to her bad knees so we sit on the 2nd bench down. She does have an ECV but we'd rather not take up valuable ECV parking when it is so limited. She can do a couple steps so we sit on the bench. We do get there an hour before as it fills up fast and that is during offseason.
