I have had fibromyalgia for 10 years now and I am good as long as I am moving.I do use a cane for balance issues but I can manage the lines for the attractions.I use elevators wherever possible and take lots of little breaks. What I find hard though is standing still for long periods of time.We took a small cushion so I could sit on a curb for the parades, but the fireworks killed me.I can't imagine what WOC will be like.I am unable to sit on the flat ground.
Is there a type of GAC I can get just for shows but not for rides.

Only time for a quick reply.
I'm guessing you are asking whether a GAC would give you a place to sit while waiting for shows. I will let the Disneyland experts reply whether there even are[/] any waiting areas with seats. I can tell you that at WDW, they are very few and far between, and in many cases, are not reserved for guests with GACs, but are open for whoever sits down on them. I expect Disneyland is the same.

You may want to look into a rollator. It is sort of a rolling walker with a fold down seat.
You could use it like your cane, for support while walking. When standing still, you fold down the seat and have a place to sit.

there are a few benches in the accessible seating areas for WoC. Some GAC stamps will allow you access to those areas. As always mentioned here, just tell Guest Services what your needs are and you should get the needed stamp on your card.

There are benches in the WOC viewing area. Unfortunately, there are no benches in the WOC waiting queue. If you have others in your party, they can wait in the WOC queue for you and you could join them at the last minute. If not, you may consider renting a wheelchair/ECV if you can't stand in the line for the show.

Alternatively, you can try for the second WOC show if they have it. Most days, they allow people in the viewing area after they have cleared it out from the first show. You can then access the the benches in the disabled area and wait for the show while sitting. I have done this a few times.

Please be advised you need a GAC and a WOC FP to access the disabled viewing area for WOC. And there isn't a GAC only for shows, but you are free to use the GAC as you see fit. I would explain to guest services your concerns and obtain the GAC if you need it to enjoy WOC.

As far as fireworks go, I would stake out a bench on Main Street or around the Hub if I wanted a prime position (I am assuming you will be watching Remember, Dreams Come True fireworks based on your signature). But I have also watched the fireworks from Jolly Holiday or Plaza Inn when I didn't have hours to devote to getting one of those benches. The view from those places is obstructed, but you still can see a lot. And it is better than being in pain!

I hope you have a great trip! :flower3:

Fastpass AND the appropriate GAC allows seating in the small disability section at WOC. It is the highest/furthest back and in the far left corner. They will usually ask any family members with you to stand behind the second row of benches, so they're the last people in the official viewing area for the show. If your family members also have fastpasses, they are free to go into the general area, too. The general area is standing room only.

The Main Street train station is a great place to see the fireworks if you need to sit and don't want to stake out a seat a long time in advance. There are benches that I think require paying for a package deal, but people were sitting on the stairs, too.
