GAC card dimensions

Hi All,
I have a friend headed to WDW and she will be getting a GAC card for her daughter. Can someone provide me with dimensions of the card, as my friend would like to have a holder for it on a lanyard.

Mine was roughly like 8"x5" - It was an awkward size, would fit great if folded and put in a back pocket -- but then it would get lost -- I had to cram it into one of those small plastic zip pouches on a lanyard from Disney. But every time I went to a line I had to yank it out to show the whole thing to them -- it was like when you show your ID when you are a youngster and they make you take it all the way out of your wallet...so there has to be a better way to carry and easily show it Hopefully I will find something better suited for carrying it.

People have reported that they fit in covers made for hunting licenses in many states. I have not tried that myself, yet. We have had them get very beat up, and damaged from Kali river rapids, Splash Mt, and the August rains.

There have also been reports that Staples/Office Max type stores sell lanyards with plastic pouches that work well for the GAC.

What about using some of those self laminating pouches and punching a hole in it to attach a lanyard to?

Unless they have changed the cards since October, they are 3.5 inches by 5 inches. (I just measured one.)
I doubt they would make it a different size since it has been that size since about 1999 to 2000, when we got the first one for DD.
We have not ever used anything to hold the card, but I do know people who found hunting or fishing license holders that they fit into well. Other people have been able to find some kind of holder in an office type store, since GACs are pretty much the same size as one size of index cards.

I'd also measured 3.5"x5". I used to bring sme clear comntact paper for laminating, but now we use the laminating pouches because hey're roughly 4"x6". You can buy them online at Amazon or at CVS, Staples, etc.
