Hi, dd got a GAC from GKTW in 1998. We brought that and her original med letter plus a letter I wrote explaining her condition to MK customer service in April 2001 and they issued a new GAC. Should I bring both 1998 and 2001 GAC and the old letters to the CM in hopes they'll issue a new GAC. I don't want to assume dd will get one, but it sure makes getting around the parks waaaaaaay easier. This kid has been thru so much, the GAC was one of those little things that made WDW not so tough.

Thanks! Sandra

WE GO IN 11 days!

You can take the most recent GAC, or just show up and explain what you need. You don't need to take more information than a recent college graduate could digest in 10 seconds. :)

The recent changes include a yellow pass card system at FastPass Attractions for people who need to use the alternate entrances... see Safari Steve's post about that.

The GAC FAQ is still availlable by clicking on the link in my signature, below.

Have a great trip!

We just came back from WDW and I agree totally with teri's advice.
If you want to bring something, all I would bring is the last GAC. That's what we did. It saved explaining; the CM just asked if anything had changed since last time and I said it hadn't.

Thanks, I feel better about this now. At our local theme park, Paramount Canada's Wonderland, I just had to trade in my old GAC for a new one. The first time we went I showed dd's medical letter, they just added her to a binder and that was it. Most of the time I just had to show the old GAC to get the new one, very occasionally the staffer would look up dd in the binder. We have season's passes and went 29 times last year. The season's passes were great because dd could do a good three hours and then we'd go home. A few days later, we would return and do the same thing. Season's passes and the GAC allowed us to spend quality time not quantity time which is hard on dd.

We have 8am PS at Cindy's on our first day, so I don't think we'll have time to request the GAC first thing, I guess we will have breakfast, then go back and up Main Street USA to get the GAC. That is, unless we get in early enough to get the GAC first thing.

Thank you for the info.

OH YEAH! We were invited back to visit Kids Village (GKTW) for breakfast during our stay! dd is excited to see the doll we made for the Gingerbread House! Sandra
